Halberd-Observations and ideas

That's long for all of the bosses at the moment who love to interrupt, and the minimal restoration of 200 (100) at low hp isn't worth it Imo

 

And you are saying 3sec long mp charge is faster? Lol thats just your opinion then

 

It's not that it's faster, it's that it's more worth it, since it has that longer cast time, but costs no mp, and you don't have to be half dead for it to restore a decent amount of mp

Its still usefull for me
Dont need to be half dead just use along with quick aura reduce hp manually.
0.8sec extremely fast even if boss spams interrupt i can slip 1 charge between them.
Saying that its most useless skill ever is exaggerating

 

its not necessairily to be used as u think
u could use a dedicated mp restore combo with swift

Cspd based since its magic only needs 0.9-1sec on 1.1k cspd on lvl10

 

Shaping up to be a real killer, I'm not building one, but I'd love to see all these excited folks excel with halberd. Have fun guys.

 

Is there maintenance right now?

 

halberds have the lowest magic growth of all weapons.
you get 2matk from INT and 1 from AGI.
to get 4matk like all other weapons you have to add DEX which gives another 1, but then you wouldn't have STR...
also you can't equip MDs for the weapon bonus. 2h swords do better with magic than halberds

 

I think that if you plan to be a battle mage using halberds, you gotta think about being a dodge heavy kite tank mage. Agi for dodge, aspd, and matk, Int for magic dmg and mdef, and dex for cpsd and accuracy for auto atks.


But yeah, i think battle mage type halberd users are gonna be a veeerry late game build, with all the stat requirements that we would need to make a decent one.

 

a staff+dagger mage with INT-AGI-DEX has the same speed and attack and much better magic attack.
a MD mage with INT-AGI-DEX is even better with more attack.
the stat growth of halberds doesn't want you to attack with magic.
halberds only use the magic of speed and critical hits

Toram's Battle Mage uses maces =(^.^)=
we have Morning Star, Mace of Destruction and Scrader Mace.
maybe we will get Thor's Hammer as a wind staff

Dagger Skill:
Spike Dart - Slow
Poison Knive - Poison (use it only if you have DEX)
Shot Skill:
Moeba Shot - Slow (unreliable - Spike Dart has 100%)
Thunder Shot (or whatever it's name was) - Paralyze
Smoke Dust - Blind
Hunter Skill:
Sleep Trap - Sleep
Spear Trap (or whatever it's name was) - Stop
Martial Skill:
Earthbind - Stop

and if you have party members to support you:
Magic Skill:
Javelin, Blast - Burn, Freeze, Slow, Blind, Dizzy
Lances - Stop
