Staff fu or staff+shield

So i'm pretty much hesitating between staff-fu and mage+shield (sorcerer). I'm wondering which one is the best for playing solo.

Staff fu is better than mage for soloing purposes, imo

So, my vote is "Staff fu"

 

Depends on the boss itself and how you want to solo.
Staff fu can solo faster while staff shield (in fact any weapon +shield) can solo with less/no revita consumed.

 

If I'm a shield mage that uses triplekick, what do you call me? Shield fu?

Both can do it but I would say staff fu has a bit of an advantage at nurethoth so it shouldnt be the only boss that should be considered.
Theres other bosses like daddy finpen, ecb, bkod where mage is much more better than any physical class.

What lvl are you? It really isnt that tough you just need a decent amount of hp like 5k+ and also dont use flinch/tumble/stun skills against him

You need to either avoid the eyes or kill them once they get near you. The eye is the one that does the ring shaped aoe not nure, nures aoes are pretty weak.
They easily die from just 1 auto attack but they will survive several storm hits by taking 1 damage only.
If you were using shield you can refine shield/armor/add to +C and get 45% resistance with jiangshi + aegis this would reduce the 9750 hit from eye to just 2k. Dont aim for hp straight away resistance is much more important as it saves revita. This is if you want to focus on the fight without caring about the eye.

Hi there, I'm a newbie to the game and interested to build my mage to ko bosses. So I should stick with staff fu? Any recommended build and skills for staff fu?

 

if i took off my knuck, praetor suit and demi knife.
i'll have 2500 MATK with 10k HP,,
i dont have Philo Ring and Aunigma, so im still using Nightcap + Watch to boost my cspd/aspd.
but somehow it's suitable with my playstore

should i take MTL route?
im planning on do 200 INT, 50 VIT and 100 MTL

 

staff dagger. I think itll more deliver dps than both? be a sick DPS. your best offense will be your best defense.

 

Imo mtl isnt really useful it only gives ailment resistance no physical/magical resistance. Its kinda good for tanks but if you wanna solo/dps I will suggest go for Full int rest Vit or full int lil bit dex rest vit.

Always go for full int so that you dont lose matk after that get jiangshi hat and the shield skills aegis/protection they are usable even without shield but just with more mp needed use aegis when you enter boss battle against nure and as I said before get armor/add/shield to refine +C or +B that really is enough to handle the ring aoe it will barely do 3k damage try it
