Possible New Weapon Type? (not warhammer)

After playing the Halloween event for a while, I got a bit curious about the frightening axe sprite.

It looks like a normal weapon sprite (except the colored aura is more angry and vicious looking), and wanted to know if anyone else had any opinions or info on whether or not they think we may be getting axes in the game.

I think it would be really cool, like some sort of berserker class similar to the blade skills but crazier.

 

If it's a berserker skill tree, they better adjust the blade skill to compensate. Right now, axes are in the game, along with a scythe but those are blades with different appearances.

My opinion is that the axe is just a representative for the skill tree rather than the weapon itself, though I know this is wrong.

Almost.

It's a modified halberd without the top spike. The back spike was made into a stub and the blade of the axe was made wider and more hooked.

 

I'm hoping they'll give a new skill tree chuck full of (dot) ailments that can be used by any build. The "dirty" axe icon makes me think of a frenemy getting sliced and developing puss filled pustules with a little extra tetanus for good measure.

 

We technically already have axes in game, they're just classified as 1h

A truly new class would be a mace user.

 

Staff has a mace already. Not new.

the icon might be the next secondary tree, maybe "warhammer" with a weapon bonus for halberds and 2h.

 

Whip as a weapon (I am not a masochist). I mean whip as a weapon is interesting. Mid range with low damge output but attacks can deal stop or bleed ailment and can attack fast enough like barehand.

 

what about sphere

i remembered back at rainy season event there's an item named iris sphere on the cb aside from iris ark bow?
but no one actually get it to know what it was.

some weapon based on sphere maybe?

 

YES PLEASE! Hopefully it can be a staff sub too, that'd be awesome!

 

the consignment board has lots of elemental spheres, but they all don't exist.
except for cold and mysterious sphere, which are a mana materials.

I want a fan class dammit , used wind ele, and trow the fan that will be cool.rather then .exe(virus) whaha

 

Theres a paper folded fan like 1h sword. Also theres a fan with long handles on halb apps

 

What's more one of the black Smith npc hinted about a circle blade that should be thrown. It might be a hint to throwable weapons cuz it's obviously a chakram.

 

I would be very interested to see a Kusarigama in Toram

If it did come to be I feel that it would most likely be a very long ranged melee with aoe capabilities. How useful it would be is dependent on how Asobimo will make it. But even if it's bad, who wouldn't want to see their character throw a blade at their enemies?

Fan type of weapon is good, many other mmo have it, they already have that fold fan 1h sword since beta, but for what an apps damm
