It is the great kirito war, what u see is the middle faction between the purist(non decoy) and the meta(decoy users). Both sides got good pros and cons. Im just here to grab some popcorn. XD

Decoy and it's utility for dw as a mana geyser.

I really want to refrain myself from yet again ranting about Decoy, but.. Whatever. Just for the post count alright?

Decoy is overpowered. It recovers MP no matter if its attacks misses or gets evaded. Sometimes it gives random AMPR boosts. It can be used by all weapons, the difference being the attack range. It recovers your MP so easily it's abused by almost every build. All they do is just put Decoy and spam their Impact > DPS skill combo. And the devs haven't considered to touch this skill at all (according to their info video on Youtube).

 

Well, why complain if it can be used by all classes?

 

Players don't like it when skills are too useful

 

Also welcome to the Decoy controversy.
Where 60% of players complain about it, 30% players defend it and the 10% players keep wondering why no one ever brings butter for their popcorn. ಠ_ಠ)

 

The fundamental problem isn’t what it’s limited to but that decoy is so good, or regular Ampr is so bad, that for most builds it’s boarder line mandatory to run it. It’s over-centralizing the meta around decoy

What we need is more combo points !!!!......, i am tired of using the same freaking combo's if we are going to have debuff skills and buff skills we need more CP, we have so many skills now,,,,,,,and sooooo many combo ideas but suzuki p, thinking about guitars.

 

I really don’t understand what is so hard to understand about my comment. Dw don’t need decoy because they already have access to trigger slash, shadow step, and rampage plus they have double Ampr. It’s like a finale mage that prides themselves off of not using decoy. It means nothing because they don’t need decoy to begin with because they already have maximizer which is more than enough.

 

What needs to be changed is the spammable nature of the skills. I love cf and garyou Tensei, finale is also alright, burst stack mechanism is also nice if you put the damage aside. They all have the limit outside of your mp reserve. So regardless of how fast you recover mp, you will have a limiter.

 

What if you use decoy depending on the boss?

Like on bosses that stand still I’ll use it to be able to put DPS way faster.

But on bosses like Wandering Wheel or Mom Fluck who like to run around, I use my high ampr to restore my MP than waste mp on a decoy.

 

Yeah toxxy that's nice. I mean this post is not make Decoy and non decoy fight anyways. Some players are just ugh... they just don't understand what the post is about and they just insert their salty opinions. Decoy is really useful no one is dissing it and stopping players here to use it. I'm just trying to gather non decoy players.

 

Reminds me of this DW build with Beserk that used backstep to restore MP build that didn’t use decoy I saw on YouTube the other day
