OK.also you say archers are no:1 yet even top archers like precaria use some form of either a tank or brawler to hold major bosses at bay but let's see what the future holds I'll continue my brawler you continue your archer(let's hope azimov from iruna doesn't appear lol no tank insta death)

It's only a matter of time untill certain tanks are needed and full dps party's just simply won't work. In some cases, yes a swordie might be better than a brawler, for cases like gk? If a swordie had aggro you would most likely get your ass handed to you (excluding a dodge build dw) with a good brawler tank? You can farm that puppy all day. Just think we have a lonngg way to go for level 4 skills, and the bosses are only going to get a lot harder with more hp/def/mdef/evasion/attack all that stuff, gk is prime example. You really need to realise brawlers aren't meant for getting #1 attacker, and see how they are meant to be played and their role in a party

 

full agi brawlers can take a beating and dodge all physical incoming attacks, on the other hand, a non-agi build will have to take everything.

brawlers are a special case because they have the highest probability of interrupt skills in game, as long as they combo, it will add to their survivability (and of the party)

also, we got silence and bleed debuffs currently which does not allow you to cast magic or physical skills. if the developers decide to add a debuff to cancel all your buffs including item buffs, and a debuff that doesn't allow you to use any items --- without a brawler on that situation whom can interrupt alot because of it's spammable combos, your party will get wiped out quick. (i think i may contact support and suggest those two new debuffs).

this is also the reason i am remaking my full-agi after i've completed my setup on xbow+knucks (my guildmates might need a decent tank that only agi brawlers can provide).

lastly, my take on this: a DEAD DPS is a USELESS DPS.

Honestly I don't see any point in soloing anything.
But I'm sure as hell, there's no fucking way a Sniper or any non-brawler class can solo GK.

 

@NineArts, didn't read carefully into it until now. Am I understanding it correctly where:
For 2h, DEX adds stability and stability increase = DEX / 10
For Xbow, STR adds stability and stability increase = STR / 20??

If these are correct, STR/DEX for 2h will be better overall than STR/CRT

2h has the highest dps auto endgame and second highest skill dps. Looking at 24k crits on autos easy.

this is kinda interesting, because on 2H: 1 Dex = 1 Atk, 1 Matk, 1 Hit, 3 Cspd

with regards to crit rate, i think Astute is enough, because it gives +50 to critical rate with 2h. it's duration is at 10 seconds max level, so it's essential to execute the combo again within that timeframe to maintain the critical rate.

also, the original （STR×a＋DEX×b）÷40 can be reduced to (dex/10) for 2H and (str/20) for xBows.

If I may, BK is one who deserves respect on this forum. He has helped many players with his knowledge. And I once had the opportunity to party with BK's tank at Roga, I believe his skill lives up to his reputation.
