Hybrid dual wielder class

Hi there i am considering remaking my dual wielder into a hybrid. I saw a video on youtube of a full dexterity dps dual wielder player and she was some how able to do long range attacks with her sword. Can someone explain to me the skills on how to do that and what other skills i should add.

 

The long rang would be power wave

 

She uses this Lv3 Magic skill:

Power Wave
- Lv1 ~ 7m with Staff / reduces range to 5m with Bowgun / reduces range to 5m with Bow / 5m with 1h Sword, 2h Sword & DW / 5m with Knuckles / reduces range to 5m with Magic Device
- Lv2 ~ 8m with Staff / reduces range to 6m with Bowgun / reduces range to 6m with Bow / 6m with 1h Sword, 2h Sword & DW / 6m with Knuckles / returns range to 6m with Magic Device
- Lv4 ~ 9m with Staff / reduces range to 7m with Bowgun / reduces range to 7m with Bow / 7m with 1h Sword, 2h Sword & DW / 7m with Knuckles / 7m with Magic Device
- Lv6 ~ 10m with Staff / returns the range to 8m with Bowgun / reduces range to 8m with Bow / 8m with 1h Sword, 2h Sword & DW / 8m with Knuckles / 8m with Magic Device
- Lv8 ~ 11m with Staff / 9m with Bowgun / reduces range to 9m with Bow / 9m with 1h Sword, 2h Sword & DW / 9m with Knuckles / 9m with Magic Device
- Lv10 ~ 12m with Staff / 10m with Bowgun / returns range to 10m with Bow / 10m with 1h Sword, 2h Sword & DW / 10m with Knuckles / 10m with Magic Device

Look how it affects swords per skill rank. It should guide you on how many SP to invest on it.

 

power wave? what skill tree is that on?

I must spending stat on INT too??

 

do u know how is each level damage reduction for this skill per level?

 

Its probably @NineArts that you saw on the vid

 

This is a passive skill for auto attacks, is not INT related. Just stick with your usual DW's DEX > AGI build.

Power Wave's skill level modifies range, not damage. The damage decrease can only be avoided by equipping an M. Device as main/sub or using staff.

 

if you are a dual wield, you definitely cannot equip MD or staff right?

 

Definitely. So the damage while on Power Wave's range will have to be lower.

 

The penalty only applies on ranged attacks. When you feel save, do normal attacks at melee range and the penalty will be gone.

In a boss battle, your normal attacks are more for AMPR and / proration, so even with the penalty, you can accomplish the same tasks pretty much.

But I also tried that power wave build but I didn't like the damage reduce so I made the build of it without the power wave

 

um i believe it was NineArts's hybrid

 

Oh yeah they have an ok build but I copied most the build but not all of it ... I'm thinking about putting up my build too

Follow-up question, @Precaria , if you are pure dex and using dual wield/sword/blade what is the best build for it even you are pure dex type?

Someone suggested me 1h or 2h skill for it, its that right?

 

Dex increases your main sword attack, Agi your sub sword attack. They could be split on a 2:1 ratio (classic build).
And sorry I can't tell you the best build for a class I don't use. @Cypherian may have good input to share.
