crafting vs farming for equipment drops?

i never knew that crafting an equipment and farming for such equipments has tons of difference such as effects, slots, defense, etc.. so my question is, is it better to farm 4 equipments? would those equipments wield better effects than those of that have been crafted by the blacksmith?

 

As far as I seen, it's almost same stats but smith has half all stats except 1. that 1 stat is doubled. For example, let's say BD armor from boss gives +100hp, physical resist +2%, and crit +2% (these are made up stats). the blacksmith bd armor would be +200 hp, physical resist 1%, crit 1%.

This is as far as I've seen. I don't usually craft in smith considering I have 3 blacksmiths (Vit, Dex, Str). I hope this helps, I'll do more research

Equipments have 4 versions:

Normal Monster Drop - from regular mobs weak stats, Elemental, Can be Slotted,
Boss Monster Drop - High Damage, Have different stats version, Elemental, Can be slotted
NPC Blacksmith - Regular Stats and fixed, No Slot, Damage can increase by chance.
Player Blacksmith - The equipment depends on the level of proficiency and stat build of the player. Can be slotted, Cannot Add element at the moment because of low proficiency (need 1000 pts)

I do believe the player blacksmith is the best equipments atm. because you can add 3 options with +5 stats, percentage, special skills etc. it really depends on what would you like to put.

Sometimes it also match and surpass the damage of the boss version.

 

player crafts can go passed +5 in a stat, idk how it works but some people can do just +2 or 3 and some people say they can do as much as +7

 

It actually depends on the Potential points of the equipment and the chosen abilities the available is 3 atm.

For example i have a plate mail with 30 Potential points
Any STATS (Str, Agi, Dex, Int, Vit) cost 5 points so that means 25 points total cost i still have 5 points remaining. I do believe you can't passed to +6 or +7 in any abilities chosen because Crit and ASPD abilities only cost 1 point but i cant exceed to 5.

Maybe its refining because that will be the only explanation to that, because i know people you can get +8 to their gears.

But If i will put Crit Rate +5 = 5 Potential points
Crit % + 5 = 5 Potential Points
Crit Damage % +2 = 20 Potential points
So it will cause Total 30 potential points to use all potentials.

If you exceed to your maximum potential points, the system will give you a success rate percentage if you win you get all the abilities.
BUT if not you may have a minus points in the abilities or if your really bad luck you will lose all.

 

it's not based off potential, I believe either the stat or proficiency determine it

[Edit]: Stats are affected by player level. every 10 lvls I beleive you're able to add +1, this is what I was told by Japan version player. so we are stuck at +5 cause our lvl ca is 50

 

When i can earn it i will choose farm from bosses. If i cant earn it so i will make it.

 

Sorry, but I need to make some correction here. NPC Blacksmith can make slotted equipment, though very low chance. What did you mean by "Damage can increase by chance"?

I think you are right about this. My bs lvl is 35 and she only can up to 3 point.

 

About the 1k prof...
In alpha you could add elements to weapons,but it's expensive.
You could have a dark element 1h or a wind element knuckle lol.
Also to match or surpass a boss stat equip...you must know what you're doing. (Get the right build [TEC],get lucky,put the right stats with your potential in the equipment,PROFIT!)
