In game keyboard issues.

Hello Toramers, ever since I've been playing Toram I have had weird problems with my in game keyboard. Sometimes when I tap the "Chat" button the keyboard won't appear at all. The close keyboard button aplears on my phone (soft key) and then quickly disappears. Sometimes when I open the keyboard and it actually manages to appear, I will type a 1-2 words, sometimes even only a letter or two, and then it will close. Upon trying to reopen it won't open at all like a mentioned before.

This isn't a very frequent issue, in fact it rarely happens, unless I'm in one of a few areas. The areas that the keyboard has the most problems in include Sofya City, The B But farm on nisel mountain, and Boss Rogas area. I think that the population of the area affects the keyboard somehow. However the problems stay after I initially experience them, instead of going away as I leave the area. I have tried turning off all players, and even silencing all chats to see if that would change anything, but it did not. I wouldn't mind this problem so much if it weren't for the fact that the keyboard has problems in some of the areas I type in the most, especially sofya, buying and selling.

I think my phones age may be a part of the issue, but given my limited knowledge of such things I can't be certain.

My phone is a Motorola Moto G Gen 1 running android 5.1 lollipop. I'd be very happy if anyone had some ideas on what may be wrong.

 

Same with me. Keyboard not appear if your phone lag (sometimes phone overheat "toram not responding and stopped") this problem can be when at sofya, nisel, bossing(annoying me because if keyboard not appear can't chat and sometimes appear but hp not responding then my vita plus 2 effect disappear if games restart (use vita plus2 before 30minute he overheat so after restart effect disappeared. I must use again )

In my opinion , minimum 1gb with 450mb empty RAM can walk at sofya without any problem(must turn off show other player) I test it with restart phone for gain 450mb empty ram . My phone is Samsung A300H OS lolipop

 

Yeah, happened to me before, ussually caused by- opening the keyboard at the time when your game lagged very hard. But it happens not only at these areas you've mentioned, yes mostly they happen in these rooms but it can occurre everywhere, once it happened to me in the rugio ruins and underground channel, what i usually do is- restart the game and it works ... at least it works for me, anyways I hope ihis was useful

 

try to use a lighter 3rd pt keyboard.
well, I cant suggest u which one. A simple hint, lighter keyboard app usually lack of features n small in size.
I use 'hacker keyboard'. It's cute small-sized keyboard app.

 

I have tried several different keyboards now, all producing the same result. But maybe I'll try one or two more, starting with "Hacker Keyboard"

 

Yes a restart works, but I don't want to have to restart every time! D: My party would start to get annoyed

 

I think its mostly because of the RAM. the Moto G 1st Gen has 1 Gigs of ram out of which Toram uses around 150Megs, maybe even more. And of course, you'd also have some background apps running so yeah lack of RAM might be whats causing it. But still, can't be too sure, as Ich said, try out a few 3rd party keyboards, I'd suggest Fleksy, and see if that works. If not, download "Greenify" and enable auto hibernate for all the apps except the ones that use GCM (Google Cloud Messaging) Sev.

 

fleksy sucks up my RAM up to 40-50MB, which is not nice.
running JB (not justin bieber!) on 1gb RAM here, I can free my RAM up to 600MB, without playing toram, but when playing toram, my free RAM is only 150MB-ish. I think toram eats up 400-500MB RAM to run smoothly.

ah i see. Running 6.0 Marshmallow here and fleksy only uses up like 20Megs tops. Sometimes it does go up to 40 but Fleksy looks smexy XD so yeah, worth it!

 

I did try greenify, but since i installed it phone got heated so fast (around 3x times faster then before i have the app), well maybe it's just my phone.
Regarding keyboard issue, i have it too but since consignment update it just got much worse. Logged in or entered sofya at crowded channel (usually around main road) immediately force closed the game.
Somehow, my Toram has it's own keyboard built in since consignment update (and it took so much RAM in my case), instead of using my default keyboard like before update.
Gonna try this hacker keyboard that u suggested @Ichsan, hope it will do the trick.

 

- playing while charging will surely make ur phone hotter.
- playing toram on external sdcard will also make ur phone hotter (thats why recent phones try to avoid external sdcard for better performance).
- playing while multitasking too.
- monitor ur greenify RAM usage vs Greenified Apps' RAM usage, to make sure that greenify doesnt cost u higher RAM usage.
- if u r rooted, try to find a stable lighter and adjustable performance custom ROM if available (do this with your own risk XD).
- use lighter apps if available (facebook lite, line lite, other twitter client, etc).

 

Ya, playing while charging is a no go ofc. I only use kik as messenger to converse some players here. I don't do social media. I never root my phone, n ya i can't seem to be able to install any app other than in internal storage. I don't really get all those RAM stuffs, i don't know much jacks about tech haha
