CDMG+4% useful or not?

I have seen an influx of equipment with this stats (DEX 4% CDMG 4%, ATK 4% CDMG 4%). From bows to armors.
Does this stat gives us more damage? Hunter's are DEX build so I think we would not benefit that much with CDMG4% as our base cdmg is low.

I've also read somewhere that we have 150% cdmg as base, so CDMG 4% is equivalent to 6. So CDMG+8 is better. Does dex boost our cdmg even by a little? Why does asomibo makes it so hard XD

Cdmg4% only gives you like +7 even if ur a full str cause 240/5 = 48+150 = 198 x .04 = 7.92

Guess the 4% is only to look cool

 

CDMG% shouldnt be used if you have a low CDMG base or no increase at all in your CDMG base. Unless you are a full str build you should use CDMG% stats because STR increases your CDMG. i think it was + 1 CDMG for ever 5 STR.
So if we were to cap at 255 STR. you would have around +51 CDMG. giving you 201 cdmg, add 4% of that and you get +8 CDMG, with a total of 209 CDMG, this is only counting if you cdmg 4% on armor.

but in the case of you using CDMG% while using Dex. your base of 150 CDMG will not move, 4% of 150 is only 6. so you get 156 CDMG which wont be felt that much.
So going CDMG instead of CDMG% for non STR Stat builds would be viable and give more increase rather than the 4% increase. What would you opt for. a +6 from 4% CDMG or a +8 from flat CDMG.

 

Weew, honestly I was going crazy thinking of this stuff earlier. I have seen tons of people selling this kind of equipment and I was like "am I doing it wrong?" DEX and CDMG% doesn't mix well I think.

 

if you would go for damage as an archer/sniper or a dex type build. go for DEX/DEX% and ATK% or CR8 for armor

Thank you for the input, yes that's what my equipment are. They either has dex or crit rate stats. It just bothered me that there are tons of CDMG4% and DEX4% combined in one equipment and I thought that maybe there's something I don't know. Thanks again for the clarification

 

well I do agree.
for DEX base character CDmg+8 is better than CDMG4%.
Even full STR, cdmg+8 is still superior than cdmg4% right now, isn't?

So I prefer stat on armor like
DEX+8 CDMG+8 (hybrid stat)
or
DEX+4% CDMG+8 (pure dex)

 

You're correct, even at full str cdmg+8 is still better. I was kinda spacing out earlier when creating this thread and my only purpose was to know why cdmg4% is now a hip with archers XD

I see, I haven't tried yet an armor with that stat, I think I'll test it myself later.

With xbow/bow, do you think that's a good stat too? I might try it too XD

Str and crit gives you cdmg
dex doesn't give you any cdmg so that's why c8 is better for archers till we can cap 2 stats

For weapon,
I prefer with, Atk4% Cdmg+8.
Seems atk4% better than dex4%. damage wisely.
But I am not sure..
I've been too long hiatus on this forum, and playing toram lol

Atk4%Dex4%, for raw p.atk/damage than critical damage thingy.
