5% crate Question

Ok guys i just want to make sure with this stat.
Is this crate% increases your points that you invested on your crit stat? Or is this a flat crate%?
Coz with astute effect youll get 25% crate boost without crit stat and you will feel like your char crit most of its attack.
Can someone confirm this?

 

@Combos All gear/Xtals/Accessories anything that has a % Stat will only affect your base stats, or in this case your Innate stat.
In this case of your question on hand.
If you have 0 Crit, no matter how many Crit Rate % gear you get on you those benefits wont affect you, because you have no base # to calculate the % with.
Basic algorithms. 1 + 1 = 2 x 5% = 2.1.
Based on this math algorithm = 161 crit x 5% = 8.05 + 161 = 169.05 Crit.
This is how it all works on Toram.

 

This is not accurate for crit or evasion. Both of those % add to actual base %.

For evasion I think we can easily confirm this. Innate evasion = 0. Equip a dagger with 10% evasion, or shield, whatever. Your evasion will not go to .1%.

As the OP points out, astute adds a 25% buff to crit rate. If you play a sword you will notice that you crit now a lot more even if have never taken the crit personal stat or have a big fat 0 in it.

With your math, you would be assuming the natural crit rate is what? 5%? With this buff that would increase it to 6.25% to crit. Game experience does not backup your math.

 

This is as based if the algorithm was 161 crit, and if Crit was 0 or 0%. Since crit rate is not based on % its based on raw #.
Every 6 dex = 1 crit. = 161 dex = 26.833 Crit Base Innate Crit.
Every 8 Str = 1 crit = 161 str = 20.125 Crit Base/Innate Crit.
Every 10 Agi = 1 crit = 161 agi - 16.10 Crit Base/Innate Crit.

So you do have Innate Crit to build from.

Not my fault thats what the Japs have divised regarding crit rate and their fking super smart brains.

 

IK m8, it's just that it's off-putting for me and my str warrior. They're telling me I don't deserve to be the very best.

How do you know so much? Is there a guide where I can read the break down of all the stats to make the "perfect" dps build?

 

Maybe you should try and experiment it in game. There are weapons with that reduces crit rate, Vol sword (crit rate - 50) , gear bow (crit rate - 50%). Good luck.
