New boss fighting strategy : NURETOTH

After fighting nuretoth several times, i've figured out that:

1)Nuretoth reflects all status ailments inflicted to him
Ex: If you inflicted flinch on him he would respond by instantly doing an AoE that inflict flinch to players. The same thing apply to tumble and stun (tested)
-If the hp is below 25% the boss would only respond with a mid range freeze AoE instead of the status ailments given to him (thanks @En Gardevoir& @RyeUshio for the info)

2)The eyeballs that spawned regularly got low hp but their AoE skill damage is scary, could kill you in 1 hit if you have 6k hp or less.

3)The damage from nuretoth ailment instant reflect skill is low, about 1k-2k

So from this information i got, the fighting strategy for this boss is just watchout for the eyeballs. note that a new eyeball would spawn immidiately after you killed one (thanks for the info @Precaria). Any type of char could kill them because of their low hp(edit: physical attack will kill the eyeballs instantly). Also use flinch, stun, etc to break parts when the boss hp is 25% or below so the boss wouldn't reflect the same status ailments on you and your pt member.

Most people die when fighting nuretoth like this:
They fought nuretoth together - some eyeballs came and they dont give a fudge about it - those eyeballs preparing to do an AoE - someone in the pt used flinch inflicting attack - All the pt members got flinched - BOOM! Instant death from eyeballs AoE (the pt members couldn't escape because y'know they're flinched)

So that's my info about nuretoth and how to fight him, hope this will clear up alot of confusing things and make the process fighting him more easier

Let me just add that every time an eye ball dies, a new one spawns from the gate. This is immediate. There's no real use for a gatekeeper if the moment he kills an eye another one comes out. A fast PT should have shooters (be it mages or snipers), which attack from an area where the eye's AoE won't hit them, and a tank who will stand in the middle of the AoE (the safe spot) holding aggro and locking Nurethoth in his place while the others inflict the damage. This is how I've done the fastest runs.

 

I use my DW with a 1mp combo that includes spinning slash and phantom slash, spinning slash can take out all the eyes and phantom slash keeps you safe. Also, you can use any break skill once he goes bellow 50% health and he won't reflect it

I heard about this strategy but I never really tried it. I'll be sure to tell my usual party members

 

The second mini boss in the live stream was in one of the maps that got added in the last update, I can't remember the name but it had those eye mobs

 

Yup before yelb, but that was in the live stream for all I know they might've not added it in I haven't checked myself or heard of drops but was definitely in the stream

 

Wow nice Now I wont be burning revs ^^ .. Guess I cant use my Blaster Brawl on this boss

I figure out something dealing this new boss
I use my tanks or any other char with high aggro, i figure out that when you are the 1st 1 who hit him, the aggro will be yours and it wont take it off unless you died,

1 of my party try hit this boss 1st using mage
And i use my tank with aggro combo and equipment, even spamming provoke or combo this boss will ignore you, he will notice you when his target will die.

 

Actually, you still can use your BB. You just have to cut Nurethoth's HP to less than 50% first. When that happens, he only does a mid-range Freeze AOE. That's where you can break him safely.

 

Im thinking just use tk skill till his bout 50%hp then u can use your combos

 

Another banning skill for the sake of victory guess i need to be an eyeball killer inorder keep the party safe and done it fast,so annoying that 1 hit killed XD im confuse if that was from the boss earlier. Thanks...
