The last few parties I've been in have been very interesting.
I don't know if this is a rising thing or not, but i'll call out to farm for nisel and bnuts. Be invited. Then told I'm a class racist or something of the sort, and that it needs to stop.

I don't understand how it's class racism. Its common sense, to use the ability storm to farm. Storm NOT ONLY is an aoe, but it also sucks up said mobs around you that your aoe may not reach at first. It's fast, brilliant, and with the impact combo, only 1 mp. (Storm itself, not the entire combo, its 3 for the entire thing)

They also complained that Toram had become Mage Online, or "Storm Online" When frankly, it hasn't. Why do people complain in farming zones? Do they do it to get a rise in other people? You'd figure if they were SERIOUS about the game, they would quickly join the people that have discovered a specific, fast and effective way to farming and earning spina/items.

I'm not sure if I'm in the wrong here, but isn't it common sense to use the fastest way to get money/items especially if the enemies are in large quantity? When did wanting to party and farm quickly, and effectively become a common slang? "Racism" ???

    I don't understand.

It's been this way since the beginning. People prefer mages since they're widely known to mass farm with their AOE's. It's kinda self explanatory. After all, they're easy to farm with.

Yeah you'd figure that, but you've always got folks that start making things hard. Some of these guys aren't even in the shout chat. They just invite you to a party to drag on you. It's gotten to the point of where I just quickly leave when I see the words "YOU CLASS RACIST!" on my screen suddenly in blue. I obviously need to start taking down names to avoid..

It's good that you leave the party to avoid trouble but that's just how people are. It's just like IRL. People continue to be racist. It's quite similar if you really think about it.

This is like you are the boss of a company, you want to have the best of the best, best aoe is from mages, damage and time efficient, people don't get that and it's ok, just gear up and don't worry, one of them must understand, one of them at least.

:( Wish those non-stormers understand that it's nothing personal, it's just our gaming style, if I'm busy and in a hurry I want all-storm party & we have the right to be respected for that. I used to be too nice entertaining other classes even if I'm in a hurry to farm before but after too many leechers (aka afk farmers that take you for granted once they lured a stormer in party), that's it, either I kick (if I'm the leader) or go shout "lfp full storm".

Everyone knows that storm is the best aoe among other aoe skills and i recommended that please make one farming mage character so you'll not trouble the other people

I'm still 99% curtain those people are just crybaby assholes who haven't reached 70 yet.

Last time I was dragged into a party. There wasn't one player above level 50 lol

Sometimes there can be ignorant players lurking at farming area's.

It's like anime in a sort of way. Here we have DBZ which is commonly known because a lot of people love the show. Although, since it's so popular and mainstream people start to hate on it. Now, take DBZ out and replace it with Mages. Same concept.

It isn't Class Racism at all. The term racism is a belief that one race is inferior of others and that is not true when it comes to mages. Mages may have good aoe skills, but they still lack many things in the game.

You shouldn't take that slang as if it was directed at you. It shouldn't get under your skin and to be honest the slang itself is hypocritical since almost every player has used a Mage before.

Being a sword user, to me at least I understand the logic, but you can't expect players to just automatically switch to being a mage, at least in my opinion. I think though that I'll begin to level up my mage in order to farm for my main character

I don't bother with idiots who complain about class racism, u could say using a mage is like useing a straw to drink soda, while any other class with an aoe is using a spoon to drink soda, and then those without aoe use forks to drink soda, so it all depends, u wanna be smart like the rest? Or u wanna be stupid and complain cause ur to stupid to do something efficiently

It didn't happen in shout Kari, it happened in the party chat. I was invited into a party just to get mocked. I quickly left when I saw what was happening.

The thing is though that not everyone is going to switch to a mage. I'm planning on using my mage avatar for farming only but some view it as "Switch to a mage for the rest of the game, that's the best thing to do." I personally sometimes have this thought and this is what may drive this hate.

Regardless, mocking just shows how low your morals are.

The game gives you 3,I repeat,3 FREE character slots, there is no excuse for anyone not to have a farmer mage, i have 8 characters, my sniper, 1h sword, 2h sword, dual wielder, dps mage,FARMER mage, test slot, and an alch, u get 3 free slots in the game, the first few are cheap to, u get free orbs also, so theres no room to complain

This will always and I mean always be an issue in mmo's. Not just due to farming or the like but any character that is favored in a setting will be held in higher esteem then other classes yet, you'll still get those people trying quote unquote ice skate up hill or paddle upstream. The problem here is the demographic we're talking about. A mature and logic based person can understand the importance of knowing the roles of characters and using them accordingly to the best of their ability. Case in point someone with the understanding of roles would know trying to farm mass mobs with a tank is a no go. So the obvious answer would be to go to who can spit out the hardest hitting, quickest, and most sustainable aoe....mage. Many mmo's have roughly the same idea so a mage being used as a mob farmer is not a new concept not even in the last decade. So remember when you're hearing those comments understand right away the likely maturity level of the person speaking them.
