    so...
the 3 step bug was fixed by removing the entire system -.-
the good thing is that the server performance increased greatly.

but how find your desired pokemon without any directions? instead of figuring out how the game works, the community continues to make complaints and create memes and jokes with slowly degrading quality...
the toram community is much better at game research, i thought i should discuss this here :)

this is what i noticed so far:
    - the order of the pokemon in the "nearby" list does not display the distance between you and them
    - i suspect that it displays the despawn time, for this i have 2 hints:
    * the order does not change while moving unless new pokemon appear or disappear
    * when a new pokemon appears but you didn't move, it always appears on top
    - the green flash which was suspected to be compass director still appears, but only while you are moving. just turning around to scout directions doesn't work. based on my observations it does tell you if you are on the right path, but not what you will find there.
    - the rustling leaves on the map hint the presence of pokemon, but not their position. in areas with only 1 or 2 pokemon, you can see more leaves than pokemon, so i suspect that the leaves are randomly generated around a pokemons position to simulate it's movements (since they are actually not moving at all)

no one else has posted about poketracking yet, so i have nothing to compare with my observations. but i expect a better community spirit here than anywhere else :p

ok, i thought that was obvious now...
pokevision and every other 3rd party tracking system was forcibly shut down.
it's against the game rules, since it uses a bot to explore the area and extract all back-end data from the game.

All those trackers always going offline due to traffic but they all leach off the same idea

I do it from a local host meaning I can just scan the Pokemon go server itself basically a pokevision.com for my self now I don't play Pokemon go as serious tho it got kinda boring lol.

Here's an example altho playing on PC prob againts the rules I just wasn't much to go outside in this heat.
It also has the timer till they dispawn all I do is refresh the page and get what's around , if I find the Reddit post for the tut if interested I'll link it later.

Well, I kinda expected it would turn sour from the warnings of Ingress players and the E3 conference. But after seeing how Niantic acts myself, they have far exceeded those expectations.

I can understand (to an extent) why they want to get rid of Pokevision and the likes, but this was a temporary "fix" of the problem they refused to speak about in public. Yeah, they said they were aware of it, but that's not enough: people wanted to know about a fix, and they didn't say anything about that (effectively dodging the subject), probably because they premeditated to remove the feature (temporarily or permanently, I don't know) and knew this would cause some backlash. Now look at the results: they were right about expecting some rage, but like the servers, I bet they didn't expect the community to fight back that hard. Ingress was a new, "unpopular" game, so they could get away with it. But this is Pokémon, and any sort of insult or slight mistreatment towards the franchise is enough to set the community behind it on fire.

Regardless of whether they care or not about the game, they've definitely shot themselves in the foot. Now all we can do is wait and see how the scenario plays out. Definitely expect a decrease in the player base though.

    EDIT: Minor Text Fixes

    update:
    - according to /reddit the scan radius for the "nearby" list is 200m. this matches with my observations of pokemon in rural areas.
    - the pokemon in the list are really sorted after spawn time, not distance. i confirmed my theory with further tests.
    - the green flash on the radar appears to react to pokemon density. instead of blinking for the nearest pokemon like i suspected, it appears to flash when you are moving in a direction with more pokemon.

im curious... have you spoofed in central park? how did it go?

and as for topic, i never used tracking much anyway in the first place (used pokevision once to track down snorlax and missed it by 13 seconds fml) so i guess it doesnt matter much for me. im just veeeryy happy the pokeballs dont freeze and the servers are more stable.
