Weapon dyes??

I've been reading about dyes but no one says how to use them? Any help appreciated!

 

Um...
Weapon dye is basically same as armor dye...
You only use them for their color aka synthesis it...
Dye have no special effect or whatsoever...

 

Equipment Synthesis allows you to combine 2 gears of the same type into 1 and get the stats, look and dyes of one or the other. check a synthesis guide for more details.

dyes can be obtained from specific monsters and bosses. and all bosses on nightmare or ultimate difficulty may drop weapon dye. this dye colour changes monthly and the weapon type is randomly choosen from the parties main weapons.

 

Thks for info but I really wanted to know how to apply the dye. I haven't obtained any yet & was curious.

 

how to apply dye:
get a dye, get a equip

go to npc synth>click synth equips>select dye, select equip>>>>dyed equip (requires spina)
OR
go to library, get synth skill>go skill>use EX skill>select equip, select dye>>>>dyed equip (do not require spina)

example
anniv 1h sword, blue a shortsword dye

in npc/EX skill menu:
select item> anniv 1h sword
select 2nd item>blue a dye

1. choose app > anniv app or shortsword app OR RANDOM (50% chance to get EITHER of the app)
2.choose dye> no dye or blue a dye OR RANDOM (50% chance to get no dye or get dye)
3. choose stats>anniv 1h sword stats or shortsword stats OR RANDOM (50% chance to get EITHER of the stats)

if u choose
1.anniv app
2.blue a dye
3.anniv stat

OUTcome:
anniv 1h sword with blue a dye, anniv swords stat

blue a shortsword will disappear after the synth.


weapon dyes are as rare as xtals :"^)

Armor dye are easier to acquire than weapon dyes. I understand that you started recently and closest armor dye you can get in Sofya is cyan A from lavarca's in Rakau. The item name would an Adventure Garb, so once you get one, check the stats immediately and you will see a cyan color palette. Also check the consignment board for armor and weapon for the color palette. Have fun! ^_^
