Tempest Dual Wield: Combo questions

    Can anyone help me build a powerful but not too mp hungry combo?
    I have 12 CP total currently, and my current combo is this:
    Astute> Hard Hit (Consecutive)> Shadowstep (Save)> Sword Tempest (Smite)> Magic: Impact (Save)> Phantom Slash (Smite)> Trigger Slash (Consecutive) (300 mp)
    Feel free to improve it, or even rework it!

    Skills that I have (Not counting passives)

    Hard Hit 5
    Astute 5
    Trigger Slash 6
    Sonic Blade 5
    Spiral Air 5
    Sword Tempest 10
    Dual Sword Skills:
    Twin Slash 5
    Spinning Slash 5
    Phantom Slash 10
    Cross Parry 5
    Charging Slash 5
    Shadowstep 10
    Magic Skills:
    Magic: Arrow 5
    Magic: Javalin 5
    Magic: Lances 5
    Magic: Impact 7
    MP Charge 1 (Or should I invest for 10 in a future cap increase?)

    Use spiral or charge slash for the first save and it will cost 200mp

    For lvl 10 shadow step it will be

    Astute_spiral(save)_hh(smite)_step(cons)_impact(cosn)_tempest(smite)_triger(cons) 1mp

    First of all, remove Hard Hit; it's kinda unnecessary in the combo. Second, once you skill SStep up to lvl 10, it becomes less useful as Save tag, so use another move like Spiral or Charging as suggested (I recommend Charging because it gives you a safety distance where you can cast Impact without triggering a boss' anti-tumble mechanism).
    That's all I can do with your current skills' levels; if your SStep was lvl 1, you could have changed Impact to Cons tag and it would cost the same amount of MP, but your Phantom would have it's damage boosted from 70% to 130%.

    It's not that; I'm just improving your combo by working around its concept instead of making another.
    SStep at lvl 10 is as good as lvl 1, but for other reasons: Lvl 10 is more accessible for casting it outside of any combo and has a high crit rate/AMPR buff; lvl 1 is a quick and great Save fodder.

    Astute > Shadow Lvl 1 Save (400 MP) > Impact cons > Tempest Smite > Trigger cons > Phantom Smite > any Closer or Rampage Smite.

    Change either Tempest or Phantom to any 200 mp Skill like Spin Slash

    or use this
    Astute > Shadow Lvl 1 Save (400 MP) > Charging Slash cons/Spinning Slash cons > Tempest Smite > Impact > Phantom Smite > any Closer or Rampage Smite or Trigger for AMPR

    Is there any way to make the combo (1st one) go like this?
    If so, I need to know what the purpose of that Trigger cons placement in the original combo and if there is an substitute to do this.
    Or better yet, how the MP calculation for this combo work.
    Astute > Shadow Lvl 1 Save (400 MP) > Impact cons > Tempest Smite > [Insert replacement to the Trigger cons here] > Phantom Smite > Rampage Smite > Trigger cons

    don't use Trigger on ender if you wanna use rampage smite after phantom smite, coz if rampage smite doesn't cast, trigger wont too coz your combo will be cancelled

    Trigger Slash has an effect of increasing motion speed of attacks until a skill is used after it. This effectively hastens the animation of the next skill right after triggerslash, and with phantomslash having a long animation, some people find it a necessity to use triggerslash on it.

    If i am doing a triple smite, my ideal combo would be
    Astute>Sneak Attack(save)>Sword Tempest(smite)>Spinning Slash(cons)>Sonic Blade(save)>Charge Slash(cons)>Magic:Impact(cons)>Phantom Slash(smite)>Shadow Step Lv1 (save)>Rampage (Smite)>Kick/TriggerSlash(cons)

    1mp 20CP 3ple Smite combo! xD

    Okay, I stand corrected! It was NOT 150%, it was 130% panthom slash! xD
    But still, 90% Sword Tempest, 130% Phantom Slash, and 90% Rampage in one combo! lel

    Your calculations were kinda correct, but Save MP banks don't stack; multiple Save tags refreshes the bank with the latest saved skill's MP cost. Thus it's a 2MP combo, since there's not enough MP for Rampage.

    Such a long combo will butcher the proration till it reaches phantom and rampage not recommended for soloing or pt full of phys class

    It's 1mp :V Shadow Step in my combo is Lv1, so 4mp. This is the only 1mp 3ple smite combo you can do for a dual wielder that doesn't delve into Martial Skills route.

    Yep, not recommended to anything besides a balanced pt, but would totally be fun to watch it anyway. XD
