To match the case of the item your searching for
All items in Toram have capitals in front of each word so match case can help narrow down search.
For example if you type "Ee" without match case button you'll get everything with ee in it like Speed potion, Damascus steel, etc
If you type "Ee" with match case button you'll only get results that start with ee like Eerie Crystal and Eerie Stone because the first letter is always capitalized.
However if you type "ee" both lower case with match case button you won't get results that start with ee like Eerie Crystal and Eerie Stone.

 

the board used to be case sensitive before so i usually type the search term from the 2nd letter e.g. "ightmare" for Nightmare Crystal =_=
