Question about two things

Hello, I would like to ask what does potential mean in terms of equipment? And I would like to also ask how do people get those fancy icons in their names(example: hearts, dots)? I want to have the special icon where its like the top part of a bracket(its called ceiling in discrete math if anybody needs a reference.

 

equipment created by players with the Create Equipment skills does not have stats like usual. instead it has Potential, which can be used to add custom stats with the Upgrade Equipment skill.

It's something like that, but it has two lines instead of 1 sticking out at the top. I'll try to screenshot an ign with one when I see one. As for potential, the higher it is, are the stats better?

 

The higher the potential of a piece of equipment is, the better the stats you are able to add to it.

 

When you say add, do you mean giving it lines? For example, a Ice Spear Glaso getting 7% att 12% crit rate 12 crit rate 12% crit damage would mean that you need a super high potential?

Actually, according to Wyrix's formula for those exact stats, you'd only need a minimum of either 29 or 31. Not much.

Edit: I take that back. I read the stats wrong.

 

Yes, I do mean the lines of stats such as Atk+7%, etc. However, not all stats require super high potential. Let me rephrase my previous statement. The higher the potential, the more you can do with stats. Hope this helps.

potential let's you add stats.. the higher the potential the less gamble u have to do when adding. a stat... as for the other symbol thing i have an iphone andrew i can't do it .. android users can
