Rant And Discuss: Toram's Inconsistent RNG system.

This is just a general rant thread for anyone who suffered the RNG's ridiculously inconsistent and brutally low numbers.

As for me, RNG is one of the many reasons why I left toram, For a mobile game the RNG system needs some extreme modifications as in my case, I mentally can't farm something for soooo long aka Hours, Days, Or weeks. And the fact the RNG also is heavy on simple items for say blacksmithing and that the books and luk dont increase the RNG chances by the amount you'd expect it to.

%100 Drop rate = +%0.1 chance which makes no sense it should at least be %5 or %10.

Anyways Share you rant about the RNG system, This is a forum after all so discussions are to be made.

 

How did you even come up with those numbers..
isn't drop rate boost is based on the drop rate of the equipment/item itself?

But surprisingly, I dont have that much problem regarding rng on toram , that's just the way it is and you gotta accept it. I don't even bother with xtal farming that much because at the end of the day I know there's a chance that I wont get it so it might just end up with me wasting time , I prefer doing something that can guarantee me a sure money like farming common materials and etc. ,that way I can sell it and use the money I earned to strive for items that are heavily rng reliant like xtals and high refine equipments. At the end of the day , you don't have to force yourself with toram's rng , there's probably another way of obtaining it without wasting your time with it (rng) but of course there are exceptions like armor/weapon drops of bosses that are untradable and requiring you to get it for yourself , but at most cases you can only count on your fingers these number of equipments that you need for your own self-use.

 

Haven't tried to farm anything very valuable so can't really say how bad it is for that aspect but from death counts I'd say my mp charge time constantly occurring at the exact same time as the bosses red area attacks such as Viscum's fire breath attack is really bad plus more statting failures than success with 92%-96% success rate is kind of sad since it most other aspects where the success rate is that high you'd have the opposite result an get more successful attempts than failed ones

 

I based the number off some older threads, As nobody really knows how much of the drop rate numbers actually is. There's charts but it isn't always %100 percent accurate.

 

Most drop rates of items could easily be known/assumed since they are mostly categorized as common/uncommon/rare and etc. , most of these equipments share the same universal drop rate based on their rarity, but as for xtals and other rare items like wep dyes , its abit hard to determine as the value is really 'too' low to compute for it. At the most you can only pray that it would drop at least once for every 1000 bosses you kill.

Afaik , only luk rate has no determined value on increase of drop rate as of now. There are many speculations about this but there's no hard evidence as of now.

 

Well, the drop rates are highly regulated at the back end. And this is my reasoning...

1) They can manipulate individual drop rates for partial bosses. So they probably limit the amount of rares that are in circulation to balance the in game economy.

2) Based on Iruna, the background drop rates are probably different each day for individual players. On a scale of a 50% reduction to 150% increase. Like the fortune system in Iruna.

This is a f2p game with pay to win features. That provide minimal benefits. I would say, don't worry about the rare drops, as farming materials and selling them is a faster way to obtain rares. Most of my xtals that i actually use are from buying them. And the ones that did drop i sold.

But overall my net spina worth is probably only 40m if i sold all my stuff atm. The economy is quiet at the moment.

Well have to say either I have extremely bad luck or RNG doesn't like me right now since I had a weapon I was refining to resell degrade 12 separate times when the refinement was only Risk 3 earlier today

 

That why i just go to all boss not just farming 1 boss all the time

RNG or Greed System?

 

It's so true lol~ was trying to see how long it took for a average drop in refine lvl~ from B to C~ but it ends up hitting +A first. Then I'm like: oh what the heck, might as well go for +S~ and as soon as I say that, it drops, then drops again, and then again~ and then in 10 mins I go from +A to +9 LOL
