Pure 2H questions

    1st time using 2H (actually more like 1st time using any sword) so please bare with my questions :oops: i'll try to absorb and understand as much as i can ;)

    Q1. Should i go for full STR then DEX or full STR then VIT ?

    Q2. MP Boost with Roga xtal , Vita Plus and Revs or get HP Boost too ?

    Q3. Should i get Sober Analysis and max it ?

    Q4. Fighter's High or just stick to using revs ?

    Q5. What are some combos that are spammable for 2H and also recommended dps combos for 2H ? With or without impact is fine . Still trying out this build .

    Q6. Dragon ears , iron mask or inzanio cape ? Warmonger or yelb xtal for the add gear ?

    Q7. SG or MS xtal for special gear ? The nega on MS xtal , magic resistance -10% is it a lot ? And the motion speed -1% is it based on my aspd ?

    Q8. Atk% and Str% or Physical pierce% and Close range damage% ? (BKoD/PG xtal) also what and how does physical pierce work ? Is Tempest the only long range sword skill ?

    Q9. Recommended HP and MP to be achieved for a 2H to be able to survive long runs ? Atk and aspd too .

    Q10. Is def important to 2H ? Thinking of going for heavy armor .

    Sorry for so many questions :confused: greatly appreciate any answers :)

    Q1: STR->DEX if you just want that little bit more dmg output; I reccomend STR->VIT though; just a little bit more survivability.
    Q2: MP Boost with Jade xtal maybe? I don't know if you value your hp or mp...If you go full hp go Roga; if you want more mp go Jade; (see question 8)
    Q3: Useless; like @BK. said; only restores ~5mp every 3 or 5 secs...
    Q4: Useless, only recovers 0.5% of your max hp every 3-5 secs.
    Q5: With impact it isn't a pure 2h anymore :p; spammable combo: Hard hit->Astute (save)-> Sonic blade (cons)-> spiral air (cons)-> impact (cons)-> Tempest (smite)->trigger (cons) or double smite: Hard hit-> Astute/Trigger(lvl 6+) (save)-> Trigger(lvl 6+)/Astute (smite)->Spiral Air/Sonic blade (save)-> impact(cons)-> Tempest (smite)

    90% Astute; 110% Tempest on 2nd combo

    Q6: Inzanio cape
    Q7: Metal Stinger; -1% motion speed isn't based off your aspd; it's just when you have 100% motion speed for example; -1% motion speed will become 99% motion speed; doesn't really matter that much imo.
    Q8: I won't explain physical pierce cuz bk already did that; I'll say something about bkod and pg. If you still need more mp if you have jade instead of roga...go Pg; but I recommend once you go Jade over Roga, go get Bkod xtal...However this one is more pricey :rolleyes:. Tempest is a long range skill; so is sonic blade... For sonic blade; the range of this skill increases as the skill lvl goes up.
    Q9: As long as you have around 2-4k hp (no pots) and there is a tank in you party you should be fine...Just be careful with spamming combo.. :oops:
    Q10: Heavy armor for a 2h is not something I would really recommend; since you'll spam a lot evasion might be better (because evasion works in combo; guard does maybe too but cancels your combo; not too sure about that though); also going heavy armor will decrease your attack speed; which only affects your auto attack speed; unless it's above 1000-1200; which I doubt unless you get a feather cape.

    No problem with all the questions ;)

    Why I commented on this post even though BK already did (he's like the god of 2h anyway); is because I wanted to share a different point of view too... :):oops:

    Wow thanks so much for explaining everything :oops: i was thinking of sticking to pure 2H route but i was just wondering if i really needed impact or not just for the sake of combos because i'm just used to having impact there to half the cost of any high mp cost skill like storm (i mostly use mage) . I do have feather cape from Arcoiris but i guess i should bring around giga spd pots with me too then :) pricey xtal isn't a big problem i'll find a way to earn enough spina and buy it or just farm till idk when i can get it :') ahh then i will consider going for light armor then . Hmmm i didn't notice about the evasion or guard when i'm doing combos cause i've only ever had heavy armor but thanks for the advice ^^

    Oh; if you do want to keep a pure 2h build; you might reconsider the skill: Sneak Attack from the Hunter skill...Even though it's from hunter skill...:rolleyes: it's 400 mp at lvl 1 and you only need 6 skill points to get it...With this you can also use a tempest smited because Sneack attack will save you 400mp at your bank ;)

    What do you mean ? How is Sneak Attack used in the combo and how does it save 400mp ? :eek:

    Level 1 sneak attack in the SHOT skill tree can be saved in combo and can store MP
    If you level it higher or use a bow its less MP saved

    hard hit-> Sneak Attack (save)->Astute (cons)->Spiral (cons)->Trigger (cons)-> Tempest (smite)->Rampage (smite) (will cost 100 mp if you don't have more then 1000 mp; due to Rampage not activating cuz of too high mp cost)

    The save tag on Sneack attack makes the skill cost nothing and it adds 400 mp to your bank; the con tags make those skills become 0 mp too; so you have 400 mp left for your tempest smited

    Here is a better explanation ^

    Also about consecutive tags; they work like this

    combo opener-> 1 2 3 4 5 6 (all x 100)

    Cons will save this much mp depending on where it is on your combo; having spiral air cons as 2nd skill of your combo (combo opener not included) will make spiral air cost 3 mp; because the con tag doesn't fully cover this amount of mp of spiral air (300 mp)

    Thanks for a very clear explanation on this i always thought it was really hard to understood the way combos are made (cause i saw they were kinda math related and i hate math) because i didn't get how cons worked at first :oops: so for sneak attack in my combo i would have to make sure of my maxmp too and do math again right :')

    Ehm yes; if you have 1200 mp and you use rampage smite...Rampage will be used; if so it's better to use a combo ender like "holy fist" (from the skill tree priest skills) this is a very helpful skill as a combo ender and sometimes as an opener too; you only need to buy it at the Library and put 1 skill point into it ;); but I don't recommend getting it at early levels; it's more for something later on when you have some skill points left :)

    RAmpage is not comboble. What combo should i use in pure 2h. No other char skills.
