True sniper build?

OK.
So i was wondering what happens if we combine a bow with powerwave, the mage lvl 3 skill. Then we will have a sniper with insane range. I plan to do that, maybe not, because power wave decreases attack power of non magic items, and requires 11 points to unlock. Is it worth it? Is the damage decrease so much that it is not worth it? Does it stack with non magic skills? That is what i need to know.

It doesn't actually increase range past the bow's default range, it's dissapointing, I know.

 

It also essentially costs 6 points to unlock, maybe 10 if you're being minimalist. (5 for chain cast and 1 for power wave; +4 MP charge if you only had lv 1 otherwise.) Everyone (except mayyyyybe dual wield) needs MP charge at least level 1. Level 3 is preferable for snipers since they can use so much MP. Level 10 MP charge reduces the charge time to 2/3 to 60% of the charge time at level 1 and adds 90 (0.9 bars) MP more, so it's essentially 2.25 times as good as the level 1 version. Only 1 MP spammers should really use level 1 MP charge.

I really thought it could increase bow range, because it says range of attack without specifying staffs and MD. Thanks anyways.
