General game musings

Still in the early levels, but I wish they'd give us more free stat resets for exploration. I was wanting to be a support mage build, but thus far healing hasn't been terribly necessary. I wonder how this changes in higher levels?

I adore the character models. It reminds me of Mabinogi! Love me dat chara customization. Still gotta figure out dyes to get my outfit the right colors..

Also I recently learned there's housing?! How do I access this magical rumor?! Can't wait for maintenance to end to continue exploring

Ahh, if only there was a sakura kimono on the market now... I already bought the item that I'll use for the reddish-brown dye it carries.

Aside from housing, there are also pets. I know you'll be getting a cat once you find out how.

 

You first have to buy it,which costs 10k spina.Im pretty sure there is a tutorial on here somewhere on how to do it but basically you press menu.Logout and it should offer you to buy your land.Also they set up those small banners on menu/option interface and sometimes the housing is pictured there so try that.

 

10k spina? Not terrible. What are houses even for though? Is there extra storage space outside of the General store Sololololololo?

 

For the dye stuff, I found a youtube vid where it was still in Japanese and it looked like it had additional options that really hiked up the price. I have no idea if those prices reflect what the prices/market would. I hope not, those were some high prices..

We should keep checking for the kimono! One might pop up at some point. In theory..

I keep editing to test.. can't seem to find a word wrap style for images. Or a way to embed from media?

 

Considering the way Toram's mechanics work, we do need resets to be cheaper, but I suppose expensive resets is one of the big ways the devs make money.

The only storages available are from the various merchants and peddlers around Toram.You can find them in towns like Sofya,El Scaro,Einklang etc houses (at the very least at this moment) are purely to visit them with friends and chat there.There is no ingame purpose other than that for them.Land however is needed to own pets.

 

We have a free restat item from a rando achievement, right? As long as we haven't used that yet, there's no need to be conservative with spending our noob points on stuff while we learn the game.

@SAYA: Ahh, so the pets don't follow you around ingame? Still, sounds like fun! I have two little dragons on my homestead in Mabi. Their animations were adorable enough to be worth it even if they were to be purely cosmetic (which they weren't; they offer awesome daily quests)

 

But I wanna test multiple builds! It sounds like mages with storm are really useful with mobs, but dunno if it'd fit a support build.

Aww. Maybe pets following would end up being too graphic heavy on some devices? Well, regardless, still gotta get me some kind of kitty in the future 8D

Graphic heavy critters following you around like everyone with their 2 dolls, 1 pet, and 1 cosmetic mini pet summoned at a time in Mabi shadow missions? Hahaha. Yeah, good job on Toram if they decided they wanted to avoid that mess altogether.

 

No,pets do indeed follow you around once summoned.I mean you need land in order to own them.As in keep them there while they are not in your party.

 

Yeaahh.. mabi was a bit.. excessive there. So much flashy.
Aahh they do follow you?! I wonder why I haven't seen any yet, that's surprising. Well I'm looking forward to it!

 

You can only see other player pets if you are in the same party.This has been set exactly for the reason you mentioned.

Also I just recalled another complaint I had about the game - why do equipped items remain in your storage bag? They're on my person, not in my invisible giant purse of carrying! Inventory woes have been my foe in every game ever sob XD

 

On the bright side for your inv, at least you aren't pursuing a crafting profession this time.

 

But.. there are crafting things.. I'm gonna want to explore them once I'm more used to the game at some point >_> -let the hoarding begin-

 

There are a lot less individual ingredients to hoard though, and I don't know where all of our metal, beast, wood, etc. is kept but it sure aint in our invs!
