To gamble or not to gamble

Sorry of the post runs on a bit but the information is pertinent to my question...

So I've just recently lvled my tec character on my alt account to lvl 102 and maxed out Tec as well as all the skills a techy wants for refining and stating. So naturally being that my main account has some low end equips desperately in need of an upgrade, I jumped the gun a bit and decided I needed to buy something better than what I had and upgrade that as why waste time with old outdated equips. So I invested like 150k in an MD with better base dmg then what I had (also better looking imo), then I scooped up a stk of Damascus ore for a cool 35k and then I pulled about a half stk of refine powder and supper refine powder. And I went and refined it first assuming I had the potential needed for the stats I wanted to fill. Turns out I'm 3 pot short of my 100% sucess. So I mean all in wanna say I'm about 200k - 220k invested in the weapon my question is do I gamble the IMI +10 at 94% chance of sucess and risk ending up with a bad stat making the item worthless or do I settle for less and down grade To IMI +9 for the 100% sucess rate. Now I know to alot of people in the world of toram 250k or less is nothing and they may not see my dilemma, but please note my total bank between both my accounts is a whopping 550k and change after the investment so this is like 1/3 of my spina I decided to experiment with..... Cast a vote and feel free to share your personal experiences when it comes to the situation.

 

Whay even +10 stats is my question, but gamble gamble gamble taste it taste the sweetness of what it has to offer, so it can crush your dreams sometines even if its 99% success

You arnt a true merchant, refiner,stater until you've gambled

 

of thats really about 50% of all the Spina u have ever earned then I would go save instead of sorry.

And I assume a failed gamble is rng as well like there's no set result on failure?

 

You can fail gamble but still get stats you wanted ^ ^ if you lucky lol

And your asking why +10 stats?

Why because that's the best I can currently do and the item I'm stating would be like 50% at +11 and like 30% at +12. And ultimately +10 better than npc crafted and way better than player crafter non stated

I guess for future reference I'll have to remember to stat first then refine lol that way if I gamble and fail it's not a total write off. Didn't even think about initially, but then after some reading learned a bit about stating and gambling and realized not only could you loose the value of that item but all the time, ore and powder/anti degs has also been wasted. I mean there is always the option to post it on the con board for a few 100k and hope someone who Dosent know any better buys it. But that rubs me the wrong way everytime I see it, like I see stuff like say a 2nd Anniv staff with 87base, +8int, +2% matk, - 7%int, - 7%hp rec,-6% matk 390k. Just a made up example but I have seen items at that price with failed stats that not only cancel the added stats, but that reduce the characters stats. Happened to me early on thought I bought a IMI 777 staff but turns out it had a int neg of 12 so in reality it was more like a -5+7%+7% along with the normal hp/mp negs....

 

Gamble it. You already knew this is the right choice. ^_^

 

And a day later I see a new MD is released uggh looks like imma have to gamble twice XD gamble on the one I refined and gamble again on the better MD I just bought

Easier said then done lmao I woulda gambled the one last night but didn't get on at all as maintainance started just after I got off work and was still going up till I went to sleep. But I am going to just do it tonight hopefully I won't need to farm to long to get the mats for the second MD I'm doing.
