A sniper trying to survive in boss battles

Hello everyone,
I have been thinking hard and long on whether I should post this or not, but I just love attention.
I am a pretty horrible sniper, and the damage I do is okay (I guess). One thing that has been brought to my attention is my survival in boss battles. Most of the times, I get away with my low health and resistance, but when a boss just pokes me with their hair strands (literally), I die!

I am clueless about armours and stats, my knowledge about it is still in the Stone Age.
Can any of the majestic and powerful snipers lend me a little knowledge on how to build up my health/resistance/survivability please?

HP Boost is good if you have low HP. Adding a few points into VIT also helps, but some people don't like to sacrifice some of their dps for extra hp.

 

If you dont already, buy survival skills and lvl up the health skill to 10. Youll get 1k hp from it

I know you said youre too poor for xtals but if you have time to farmmmmmmmm then get roga and iconos. Roga gives 1k hp and iconos upgrades it to 2k.

 

I Use Vita Plus, HP Boost and Vita Gems during all my Boss Battles First 2 are needed the most.

I also avoid the Aggro at all costs so I use sneak to prevent taking damage

^went on a 2hr Hard Proto Leon farm session without wasting revitas by keeping the Aggro off myself. Even gave the guy getting Aggro some Revs because I felt bad

Also use shorter combos if you can 1mp combos that are extra long are how people die

Use the short but powerful ones to survive

 

- Refine your armor and additional gear. +1% fractional, Physical, and magical resist per refine value.

- Sneak Attack is extremely useful to keep Aggro off of yourself as mentioned
- Impact > Snipe (smite) > Holy fist (cons) then auto to get your mp back, you won't spam and you'll prorate well, and you won't generate too much Aggro with it

- Of course, Vita+1000 from the El scaro general store

The best way to survive as a Sniper is to keep the Aggro off yourself with sneak attack or don't spam most of the time, or to take advantage of your ability to kite bosses (Hit them without them hitting you).

If you add 40 VIT stat you'll get about 2.5k more health. This can help you too

 

Use -aggro gears. Cupid bow have -30 and +30 crit to boot. Assasin garb got -15 with decent stat, ghilly sheet is great and all but got nasty negatives along with it. Sand veil got -30 and a good ms farm charm. You may sacrifice some attack to survive longer. Other than that. Use play dead passive(if you gonna die anyway, best be up asap)

Use short combos and use sneak attack. Try moeba>sneak(save)>impact(cons)>snipe(smite)>para(cons)

Short combo, decent damage, doesnt ruin proration that much, 1mp, less aggro. A few auto attacks and you can cast it again.

A tip i can give you is abuse sneak attack. Sneak negates aggro of attack skills (lvl10 = 10 attack skills after sneak). The most underrated skill in my opinion.

Read boss patterns, and know when they will cast their aoe's. If you are confident enough then use long hard hitting 1mp combos. But if you are not sure how to handle the boss, use shorter combos. Sacrifice a bit of damage for survival. Dead dps = no dps.

For me there is several ways
1. Grab lvl 10 HP Boost [lvl 2 Survival Skill]
2. Get Roga or Iconos if possible
3. Use Sneak Attack.
4. Vita+ 0w0
5. Get a tank in your team. A good tank of course

 

Bushido is also a good lil tag to get for an extra 100 HP MP and 10 Accuracy. So there's that

 

Welp i know a sniper that went full dps swapping iconos for a york and she doesnt die that often.... So how does she survive? Learning boss patterns and how to counter them....

 

Learn Combo cancelling. :V If you can do that, you can runaway from an AOE. There are skills in the game you can use while in the middle of a combo to stop it. For snipers, I think Sneak Attack can cancel a combo? If you want a sure-fire skill that cancels a combo, Quick Aura does it. #livingOnTheEdge

 

Combo cancel is a bit conditional. A change of habit is a must.

Most of the time it only work if you do auto attack first before you start a combo.
Also it only works while green cast bar or an attack is still in animation. Red bar like mp charge and the like wont cancel the combo(quick aura cant get in).
This is just based on my own observation as a pet summoner bowman. I hope it helps

 

Idk, sneak attack's animation is kinda slow, so it might just be best to not use it for combo cancelling.

 

Plus it eats 2-4 bars of mana which sucks if you are not ampr build. Quick aura is a good trade off. 10% hp vs damage, if you are standing on top of an aoe, what is there to lose?

 

Roga,cerabes,iconos xta are good for hp if don't wanna buy xtal or already got 1 but still dying trying adding vit sp or equipe Snowman head add it give good amount of hp.

 

The best was as mentioned by all is to avoid agroo. Even if u got like 4k hp with iconos n hp boost u gonna die or will waste looots of revs n still die if the boss keep hitting u like a punching bag. So best avoid agroo. Use sneak combo. Sneak as opener works good.
For equipment beast collor instead of gothic hat
Dark knight amulet in place of dex tailsman (negligible scarifice)
