Leveling CP trouble, please help

For the most part, what took them 4hrs took me 5-6 hours so i might be doing something wrong. If anyone could help these questions below:

1) Why choose smite instead of swift? Don't we want the boss to die slower or at least empty the 2k mp?

2) If smite, does mob/boss death gives bonus cp? If so, isn't it better to find a mob and complete 1combo 1death?

3) Like previous question, does boss give lesser cp than mini bosses?

4) Which theoratical combo below gives the most cp by ranking? Asking because nobody confirms higher mp count or combo length gives more cp.

1)10skills 1mp, 2mp save, 1mp swift, 1mp swift, 5mp save, then x5 1mp swifts. 2k mp used

2)10skills: 1mp, 6mp save, 5mp swift, 1mp swift, 5mp save, 5mp swift, 6mp save, 4mp swift, 1mp swift, 1mp swift. 3.5k mp used, think 1h shield possible skills

3)7skills: holy fist, warcry save, reflex cons, flashblast cons, impact cons, meteor smite, trigger cons. 1.5k/1.8k mp used, also most guide recommends this because idk why, though i've heard of people max cp spamming impact storm mp charge only

5) Bonus question, why tortuga other than for it's slow killing? Freeze and knockback foocks up combos like idk how u guys can stand it, bad spawn rate too at least from my bad experience. Giant boar and big mask is better if only their dmg isnt that high, prepare revs

Btw, my 5-6hrs cp leveling is at forest wolf because no combo canceling AILEMENT and boss dont run around much for wild goose chase (tortuga and giant boar)

 

I use a 2 skill combo to grow all my chars cp. I love stargem combos. I believe cp xp grows quicker if combo finishes completely. I could be wrong but its what I noticed so i switched to short and sweet while hitting mobs.

Smite increases damage swift makes animation go faster.

For fast cp growth I party with my main, a pet, and a merc. Using a 2skill combo I one hit one kill mobs +/-3 levels from the char or pet. That way char/pet also grows quicker because of xp bonus.

 

Your combo need to be finished in order to increase combo lvl.
Need confirmation but, i believe the longer the combo, the greater the cp exp gain... and the greater the possibility to be interrupted.
Just lvl cp up while u lvling ur char, naturally it will reach cap in around lv 80~90. At mos lv100.
Also u dont rly need long combo at lower lvl(<lv100)


For question number 5:
Why tortuga? He almost always guard, meaning wont die so fast, meaning more combo can be done, and his dmg is weak so dont need alot revita.
And you complain about knockback? Unless the radius is so big like ifrid or mozto, most knockback can be easily dodge by moving to the side.
Suggestion: use short combo(3~5 skills with fast animation like smash, flash stab, hard hit etc) and use ur combo when boss use red skill(dont forget to dodge the boss aoe ofc)

Correct. You need to complete a combo to get combo experience. It doesn't matter if you killed a monster with the combo, you just have to complete the combo a lot to level it.

 

*Equip Weaken Talisman

*Equip weakest weapon

*Go to town with your combo on non annoying(no interrupts) monster

*Profit!!


Weaken Talisman is a godsend for leveling CP.
It is better to make quick motion long combos so I don't know why they are suggesting smite tag.

 

I'm sorry but we haven't managed to figure out the optimal combo for leveling CP, as this is handled server side. Thus this will require further testing. However, we did manage to find out how much EXP is required per level, so we can work from there.

 

Toy hammer+2k mp+1mp combo= profit for ohs

Love drills, I haven't gotten Toy hammer yet tho..

Toy hammer and drills give high crit rate so rarely misses.. but makes damage almost nothing. Usually interrupt tanks/breakers use them.

Does toy hammer drop with a slot like Drills does?

Nope, you just have to keep using combos to level cp, you have to finish combos to get combo experience, and longer combos gives more experience.
