What stats should I choose for a Dps mage?

Eh I don't want that -9999 cspd though...mine is already at negative from using Granny

 

You don't need CSPD for Finale. Even if you have -1m CSPD, it's fine.

And you shouldn't really be using Granny if you're using any skills without a fixed cast time.

So to add on to the advice given on a secondary stat. There are 3 you can choose from. Vit, Dex and agi.

Dex is for cspd and matk boost mainly. It also benefits sub weapon knife users. I use this secondary stat for now. Finale does not use cspd but finale is not the only mage skill and those use cpsd(save for magic:burst - instant cast after about 8 skills from the magic skill tree). Later on I may change my secondary stat after spellburst is released or I'll decrease it a bit and add to vit.

Vit is obviously for more HP(and def). Overall it may be the best secondary stat, especially if you have no experience using this class or dodging and the likes. The best sub weapon for it is the shield. If you don't feel too confident using mages I recommend this one as your secondary stat. You may not even need to use an iconos xtal so that's a plus.

And lastly Agi. The secondary stat to use if you wanna get creative with mages. Probably used mostly with sub knife or arrows. Unless you use devil's horns additional from the Halloween event you won't get any matk boost from this stat. You'll mainly just have a higher dodge and evasion rate then the other two. I had thought of using it as my secondary stat and by the time nemesis comes out(last skills to be unlocked on the priest skill tree) I'll have definitely completed my mage's build and experiments with her. Maybe I'll change to agi maybe I'll stay Dex or maybe I'll lower Dex and give to vit.

And your third stat once lvl 180 is released along with the last skills in the battle skill tree. Spellburst is from Iruna, toram's predecessor game. Toram is a sequal game yet iruna hasn't finished yet(can someone confirm this to be true or not? Last I checked Iruna was still going in its mq). Spellburst benefited from crit. Spellburst is the mage's equivalent of critical hits. So your third stat will be crit unless of course the developers change that.

 

Strictly for use of finale, queen staff is the best staff atm.

 

More over with finale i prefer int/vit

 

If you're going to hardcore spam finale, then int/vit is best because you'll be staying in place a lot and large hp pool helps you stand a few hits. If you also want to farm or do things like challenge dungeon where other magic skills are required, then put some dex for cspd but not too much since it can be boosted by starlight potion or equips; otherwise dex is not too helpful for mages after finale came out.

nice idea when u have vit at second stat ( 255 int first ) ..
more survive , but its depand on your playstyle .. if u want max your damage ( little different ) u can add dex .. but still need vid ( maybe 30 - 60 ) .

n remmember when 2 or more mage fight for attacker rank .. the most wins are the most frequently used finale and right on target and stay alive , not the highest MATK ..
