About Unsheathe Attack

Hi Toramers, i posted this because i don't understand one point of Unsheathe Attack...
• It have cooldown reduction?
• Only work on the first hit?
• Once already used on the first hit like a basic attack or Tenryu can't be reactivated?
This question are breaking my mind, i'll hope to get answered.

 

based on my understanding unsheathe, simplified. It's an attack multiplier much like critical damage.
- No cooldown
- First hit when you enter combat mode(unsheathing weapons)
- First hit after guard and evasion
- Most katana skills is 'unsheathe' meaning they gain benefit of that multiplier without it being first hit. All katana auto attack is unsheathe

 

So you mean, Unsheathe Attack can activated every basic attack, what's wrong with KTN Skills, can be reactivated like basic attack or after guard/evasion?

 

well if u see katana attack animation . not like another wepon. every attack character draw katana and attack then put the katana back to scabbard. that why auto first attack from katana count as unsheathe attack. and the animation will repeat every auto attack. and all skill from katana use that animation ( garyou not count as unsheathe attack) .

nothing worng with the katana cuz if u low on unsheathe stat. all attack u do just give low damage.
even cap lvl 160 katana user just have around or under 2k attack stat.

note :
-charge slash and shadow steps from DW count as unsheathe attack to.

-another job already draw the wepon before they attack. like HB,OHS,THS all another job ( not like katana) that why. another job auto attack not count as unsheathe attack( except first hit from first time attack on combat mode)

all job have poros
exmple :
THS : have high mele attack from wepon ( the high wepon even have 300++) and stat +3 attack /str
mage : skill have high damage
archer : more benefits from long range attack ( xtal, passive skill, gear) do more damage if attack from 8m.
knuckel : low attack but agi give aspd and dodge rate ( flee) pasive skill aggravated give like dobble auto hit. and if u have hidden arm + amazing trow ( dagger as sub) 1 hit auto attack can do 4-5 time damage count

 

About unsheathe, Is Diomeda Suit with Roga worth it, or a full crits arm are better?

rough calculations
u have 1500 attack
diomeda give 4% attack i think and unsheathe 5%
1500 +4% attack = 1560 attack + 5% unsheathe = 1640 attack around that ( no crit)

cd now cap 16% + 16
i think that like give u 32% more damage
if u have 1500 attack + 32% = 2k damage around that lazy to calculations.

but the price for fc16 so high. well if u cant afford id just use diomeda until u have money to buy that

fc16 + ornlarf good

 

Full Crit is still better.
26% - 30% Crit damage > 5% Unsheate

If you don't have any unsheate% though, well I don't wanna compute so yeah....

 

i have fc+15.. with ornlaf. So, its a waste to spend Roga to put into Diomeda suit. Ty for the answer.
