High dmg and speed halberd build that isn't too "glass cannon-y"?

I've seen a lot of builds both here and in YouTube that showcases halberd builds that deal a lot of damage, but can easily die without a tank because of their low def/hp and high aggro. Is it possible that one can have a halberd char that deals the same kind of damage without needing to sacrifice hp and/or def?
If so, in what skills/stats should they invest their points? How about equipment?

I'm thinking of making a new hb char but seeing that they are merely supposed to be glass cannons/dependent on tanks is rather discouraging so please enlighten me on this. Thank you ^^

 

glass cannon huh.....hmm just dont use GSW, halberd really has useless skills.....+ they are so slow (animation etc), Dragon Tooth or Stab pick your poison, because using both really throws off your balance so you can't max your damage.....

 

There might be but it still needs a tank and it can only prevent you from getting 1 shot rip giving room for revita/bottle use. All dps might need a tank anyways coz if you want to bring any class to its max potential, you need to fully embrace the role.
Thats what you need to find out for yourself and discover. HB is fun and strong dps class and might be disappointing to many. good luck

In the case in which you want to conserve your precious resistance, a Circle of Order, with it and your armor refined to +S will completely neutralize 1 stack of GW. Otherwise, when I'm hanging out with people that can't tank for their life, I can make due by faking the effects of GW with really high aspd; Berserk, Quick Aura, and the Wind Up Key sets me to around 4900 aspd, which is equal to 21% motion speed, which is equal to 2 stacks of GW, without actually using GW.

And before anyone mentions that I just shot my stability in the foot, being not dead generally provides better dps than being dead.

 

I'm not a halb user but base on the skill's damage formula of Dragon Tooth, despite having a 100% crit & 100% p.pierce, u really need alot of atk & c.dmg to make its damage higher, so most of gears will focus on atk%, c.dmg flat and c.dmg%.
I think it's possible to achieve a balance build IF you have all +S & 2s equips on it, + adding a little vit will not hurt your damage if you have good equips. Also don't forget that halb's will always shine on NM & Ulti mode due to it's 100% p.pierce skill.

 

Well any new update on this?? DT has a real high damage thou with GSW its always a leap of death if unlucky. Btw it also generate so much aggro if done with a 1mp combo.
