Skill Rebalance thoughts?

    I dont understand devs. Now they wish to rebalance, to change combo system, to change guard and eva system wtf x.x I think is the first time I see a game that change in so much aspects

    Y they don’t make hb skill took longer to cast? Like 30 sec with t1 skill and 30 years with t4 skill?

    I think for combo they will implement the invincible tag feature, just my guest tho.

    Hold pdef to assume defending stance,taking less damage until released.
    You can't move or do anything as long you are holding down the button

    I think they take off invisible tag cause
    Its "godly" tag, imagine, you can spam finale w/o worrying on magic flinch, or spam DT and instantly, the boss was totally doom.

    This is late reply yes however do you realize how stupid that sounds?
    Why would I ever use magic skills to PRORATE?
    I can literally just build a bow char with high aspd and just keep auto attacking. That would help the party wayyyy more than dumbass magic skills that prorate once every 4-6 seconds.
    It will deal decent damage you say? Nope it wont.

    This is the amount of dps I deal with 2 dual wielders in party. The boss is gwaimol which supposedly has higher evasion and crit resist which again supposedly is better for mages? Also no, I have 3400+ matk with 2s equips bar add gear so it wasnt because of that either.
    All I did in those fights was lure the fire ball aoes away from the party and die from them despite having 23k hp and 125% magic resistance. This is how they treat magic users in this game, punish them for using the only decent skill they have. I cant even survive them despite being so much more tankier than regular mages that add rest dex, cant even live long enough to revive the party in case they get annihilated. If I just used storm my attacker bar would not be much bigger than the tank's. At that point I would rather just drop all magic skills and use bow to lure aoes, prorate and revive.

    They say magic attacks can not graze or get evaded, well how is that supposed to matter if boss constantly moves and spazzes out the entire arena? If the boss doesn't move much then they will just get destroyed by decoy dual wielders before I can even try to damage the boss. They dont even give a proper single target non aoe attack to mages which always ruins the advantage they have.
    Magic skills are always quickly prorated? Yeah that advantage probably works on like the first finale cast coz after that the tank has done enough auto attacks that phys prorate got maxed too. Just spam impact > phys skill smite and the damage will never drop.

    Mages got no place in this game. Theres absolutely nothing that staff mages can do which other phys weapon users can't. 1-2 bosses where magic skills have a slight advantages are canceled by tons of bosses where mages are straight up punished for being mages. MD users are good at farming? Well guess what halberd users with their dive impacts are stealing that position too.
    Support? Nope knux is way better at that. Knux users can tank, support and solo much better than staff users. They dont deserve any buff just coz they are poor at dealing damage compared to other phys classes.
    Tank? Hahahaha, nope.

    I needed to rant because my very good friend SirEgg a fellow main mage quit the game years ago when the game started the unfairness towards mages. I had the most fun in this game partying with him when I was at a weak state and it all ended because the fatso in red shirt doesnt realize what game balance is.

    He tries to add stupid sht making me think that he is helping mages. Remember finale aggro reduction from cspd? I just got done testing that thing and it just fueled the anger inside of me even more. Try guessing how much aggro 1000 cspd reduces. Also try giving me an example of a situation where mages are better used that other weapons instead of showing what mages can do other than luring blue bullet aoes and dying from them.

    Im just glad i wasn't one of those people that hopped on board in using that skill. Spamming dps combo until boss dies and getting drunk from revitas playing style didn't appeal to me and lack excitement and creativity. I heard the Impact will be getting some changes too.

    Decoy is the best skill to have ever existed the devs know this and they know alot of ppl use it, if they nerfed it they also know the total playerbase for 2019-2020 will drop down to a few hundred ppl, the devs are smart and in them we trust, Decoy supremacy now and forever.
    P.S this could be just a joke. But to some ppl may think im actually being serious. But can burgers be serious?

    Neither did I, I really only use Decoy on my archer because it makes sense and in my opinion Archers do need it (and also Knuckles to some extent). I personally really like usable builds that arent necessarily the best at DPS/Tank/Etc but does the job enough so that I have fun and I dont get kicked from the party. Some examples of some of the most fun builds I've played are my CF/Tenryu/Garyou/Snipe/Zentei Bowkatana and my Chronos GSW MP Battery Halberd.

    back to the balance changes:

    since they will adjust the entire magic tree, i hope that in addition to the usual improvements they would also work on the "the magic changes with the element" part to give each skill a unique effect for different elements.

    Completely agree with mayan. In a nutshell mages is trash. I have 3.8k matk with 2 slotted gear full buff ect, but i still think that mages doesnt even have a place in this game.

    I believe this problem occurred when they nerf finale for the first time, making it unable to hit moving bosses (boss like orn, ww, gwaim are literally unhittable). Now after even after the peacefull time, they nerf finale once again, making it unable to kill mobs when fighting minibosses. Non-mages user probably couldn't even imagine how to do standstill charge for a full 3 sec with 10+ mobs surrounding you with flinch tumble stun.

    I quit being mages the first time i experienced it during lvling up my mage. Spam 'something' was more fun than being stuck for like full 6 second charge-finale, not even including the maximizer and combo.

    Also the reason i quit was because mages was weak and unhelpfull for the party no matter what i do. Definitely not an attacker nor a tank. How about breaker and support? Nope, mage stand way too far to break. And does toram have support? Or need one? No.

    This escalated too quickly but I do understand your ranting however there are people who will still use mages even if this game treated this class unfairly.

    I was literally talking about situations when finale is hard to cast because of boss attacks which leads to flinching, tumbling or the worst case scenario fatal attacks where finale is out of the option to use. This is why I recommend using other skills in order to give way to Magic:Burst. It is slow and the damage is not comparable to finale but it is a good skill to use when finale is lock down for good rather than using finale which will end up dying without doing any damage at all and waiting to be revived.

    Also, Luk mages is good for low hp mobs when it comes to farming and is much faster than luk halberd and vice versa.

    Impact users from physical classes does remove the need of mages for magic proration but like they can use impact for proration when the boss cast wide aoes spike plus waves. This situation is favourable for mages and bow users because of their range. That's the only situation and example I can think of for mages when anti melee bosses comes to play their role of f*ckin the crap out of melee classes.
