woke up to the update and discovered this while on the toilet:

    - Chain Cast's duration is 30s, but loses only 1 stack when the countdown ends
    - Impact still adds a stack to Chain Cast even when it reaches instant activation
    - the matk boost from Chain Cast is 10 per stack
    - the critical rate bonus for neutral magic on staff works by itself without Spellburst and Weaken (it appears the rate is 1/4, so together with Spellburst and Weaken you could reach 1/1?)

    - Guardian Beam using physical critical rate was a bug and got fixed, but since it's neutral you can still get some critical hits when using staff

    - all attack skills from the magic tree charge up Chain Cast, even those without cast time, like Javelin
    - stacks are generated by hit count, so Magic Arrows can add 6+ stacks with one use
    - Chain Cast does not increase the cspd stat but applies a cast time reduction effect
    - the matk bonus is 10 points per stack

    - Magic Knife is just as fast as Throwing Knife
    - attack range is 8m
    - since the mp cost is 0 from lv1 it is instantly usable and can replace Throwing Knife for magic-only builds
    - the advantage of Throwing Knife would be longer range and higher critical rate, but only for hybrid builds with atk and critical rate

So it seems like with the Cast Mastery skill maxed in Wizard Skills, each skill in the skill tree gives 10 Cspd per skill level, or 100 Cspd per maxed skill. Not quite sure if it counts itself however.

for magic-only builds maybe, but not for hybrids.
so what if Qadal guarantees a critical hit? it's the same as Imperial Ray but flexible, although it's usage is limited. investing in CRT for magic was too expensive to begin with.
but for hybrids which also use physical attacks it's still as useful as ever. especially since a combination of Staff, neutral element, Spellburst and Weaken would probably result in 100% magic critical rate conversion, granting critical hits to all physical and magic attacks without killing yourself after 3 moves.

Small useless tidbit: I guess the neutral magic critical rate could be considered an indirect buff to Imperial Ray. Might try an INT-STR build & test it out for comparison tbh

Edit: Additionally, it also applies to the magical Ninja Skills as well* with a neutral element staff equipped.
*They are mainly Fire Release, Wind Release, & Earth Release.*

aye. even though they are named after elements, for some reason they don't have innate elements and only use your weapon element.

Weaken requires DTE skill to trigger the 0.5 crit bonus so neutral skill cannot benefit from this.
It's either neutral skill with spell burst (0.25+0.25=0.5) or weaken with spell burst (0.5+0.25=0.75)

200 cr requirement is still rough for neutral mage so some CRT may still be required. Most likely becomes int>str/dex/agi(~200)>crt(50)
I would say DEX is somewhat less favorable since CSPD requirement is a lot lower now.
