Well not a whole lot has been written about guilds regarding how to make one, how to level a guild, and the benefits to being a part of a guild or runing your own. I'll take a moment to explain the basics.

First and foremost anyone can create a guild simply with any character that has the Alchemy skill, learned at the library in Sofya City. You will need to make the item PROOF OF UNITY. Your Synthesis Proficiency must be at least level 1 and you must have 113 of each if the following materials METAL, CLOTH, BEAST, and WOOD. Once you have all that make the PROOF OF UNITY. After having created your PROOF OF UNITY go to your community tab there you'll see the guild tab simply select it and create your guild but, remember no two guilds may have the same name.

Now once you've created your guild you're going to want to level your guild as fast as you can to really enjoy the benefits of a guild. How you go about leveling your guild is really two ways. You can level it yourself or recruit memebrs to help you with that goal. It is important to note that your guild levels as you or your guild memebrs kill monsters. It is also important to note that your character must have been the one to have killed the monster for it to count toward your guild level. In other words if hunting monsters in a random party and you happen to be a support class not attacking and killing you are not adding exp toward the level of your guild.

What are some of the benefits to having a guild? Well social interaction for starters. Finding and grouping like minded people. Finding people online at much the same time you would be helps a lot when trying to form parties for specific purposes. I can't forget to mention once your guild reaches level 10 you will unlock the use of the guild bar which is a privet place for your guild to meet. There is also the guild maze wich also unlocks with the guild bar. The maze can be accessed in the guild bar by going down the long hallway on the left.

Well I hope this was informative and helpful to anyone with questions about guilds if anyone has comments or concerns please leave your comments below.

This is good, well done! ^^
A few things to note, though:
    1) Proof of Unity can be made at the regular synthesis under Item Synthesis > Guild
    2) The recipe for the Proof of Unity is 125 metal, 125 cloth, 125 beast, 125 wood, and 500 spina
    3) Leveling up a guild allows for more members
    4) Guild's max lvl is 10
    5) A guild leader can assign positions to members, such as: Vice Guild Master, Invite Guild Members, Edit Notice
    6) A guild leader cannot leave its own guild

Good luck, and welcome to the forums, btw!

Hmm i guess if you make the proff
Thats really interesting because if you make it yourself via alchemy the material cost was only 113 apparently the material cost goes up if made at the synthesis shop.

I use Kik. I also strongly suggest having guildies set their account names on such messengers to match one of their in-game accounts. It makes remembering your minions names so much easier.

And the only way to track inactives in-game currently is to make a list.
Copy all members and the lvl of their char listed on the members page onto a spreadsheet or onto paper.

    Every week, compare the list.
    Crossout the ones that changed.
Highlight the ones that haven't changed.
Recopy the list for the next week.
The ones on the new list that haven't changed the previous week; highlight.
The ones that were already highlighted from last week: kick.

That gives you a two week inactive grace period and it's easy to manage. I'm sure there are other ways you can think up. This is just mine, that I use for my guild. This is a task you can designate to one of your vices; if you wish. I have a vice who does this too. We compare lists before I kick someone, because someone might have told my vice that they will be inactive for an extended absence due to school/work/etc.,. So we make sure that hasn't occured before one of us kicks inactives.

Another thing to consider is guild rules.
You can use the notice for this or use a forum page or blog like WordPress.

This means you don't have to worry as much about people doing things you don't like in-guild. If they know the rules and where to look; you don't have to repeat yourself a million times. An example is mine in my guild blog.

    Guild Rules:
1.) Help collect mats for the guild BSes to lvl prof if you have nothing else to do.
2.) if you need boost; ask. If someone asks and you can help; do it. We're a team. Repay your debts.
3.) No selling in-guild of market price is under 40k. Give it for free.
4.) If over 40k; you can ask for half the market value. These people help you out. Be generous to your brothers and sisters.
5.) BSing is free. Get the mats and the process mats to cover what's needed and the item is yours. If you didnt/don't help lvl the BSes; you pay market value. So help the BSes.

That's just an example of some of the things you might want to think about.

    Another is mat assigning.

    For example Oracle robe.

Say you have 8 people who want Oracle robe mats.
4 are veterans and good at killing roga. They can farm the ore drops for 8 oracles.
The other 4 are newer or don't have really good builds should fight mauez and farm the runes for 8 as well.

    Then, they trade.

This is something you don't have the chance to do solo too often. Having a guild really helps.

You as the guild master also tend to motivate people a little more than a regular member. So use that to help get these kind of parties rolling. It will build a sense of being a part of something larger and help the members become better acquainted with each other and other tactics/builds.

And you as a GM should try to be an exemplar for your members. All the threads I made here on Luck, Drop Rates, etc., I made those for my guild. It just was something I thought I should share publicly as well. Your guildies will look up to you. So read the forum, learn the answers to their questions and share your knowledge with them. There are many types of guilds and GMs. Strive to be a good one.

Vice GMs also can let other guildies have the ability to invite update guild message also- they also have the ability to kick members (except GM- although I've never tried, nor will I)

Is it possible for people to be automatically kicked for not being active after a certain amount of time?
As in, I'm a GM, and the guild is mainly composed of close RL friends. A few of them left the game for a while, but not the guild. At some point I noted that their names were gone from the roster. I definitely hadn't kicked them, and they weren't the type to leave without warning. So, did the system just boot them for no reason, or do I have some lying "friends"?
