You sucks!


Why Im saying this, after 40 runs of roga boss, 30+ of the time died, THE WHOLE PARTY DIED!!! Its so unfair, here is a theory(its a theory, don't take it serious)

(Kinda reasonable)Theory
Roga boss may have a code to detect player casting spells, mp charging etc. I throwing that out coz Im a mage, and every time I mp charge, he dash right next to me, and Booyea dead, thats solo, not a big deal.Dash attack have 2 type, flinch dash(low dmg) and tumble dash(high dmg),you can see the different of both speed, flinch is slow, tumble is really quick.Now we talk about PARTY, Roga will kinda find the angle to (tumble)dash right into your face, while still meant to attack the tank. Thumbs up 900 dmg, tumble and NO NOT THE SPIN ATTACK ffffffffffffff. You may experienced this, like the worst timing to do a spin attack(for us at least), spin attack will do loads of dmg, knock back, and fatigue. The dmg range is large O. o its about 500~2000, still confirming whether its 2 different attack or not.

Ok, suppose everything i say above is fake or whatsoever, this is what i came up after loads of battling and party cracking, I came up with a solution.

Thanks to one of my friends' sacrifice, he reset his lvl 75 dw, to a pure Vit, with health over 8k, full aggro gear, and we have an ultimate solution to this fate

All you need is Sniper and Tanker.

Tanker needs only 1 skill, warrior aggro skill(i forgot the name), or you can use a few skills like hard hit etc, for weapons, stubborn hammer(2h) or accordion sword(1h) to aggro, heavy plated armor, and cockroach wings(that wing looks like a cockroach wing, I forgot the name again! Is it green dragon cape? Tell me below!). His job obviously is to tank, but try not to get hit by it, your life will be a lot longer.

Sniper, im not sure about it, but sniper is really the pain in roga's but(t), lots of sniper's skills are high damage, and they don't got aggro if a tanker is here, #Spamspell, and done.

Another thing is we need revita, I asked about 50 players, over 60% don't use revita. Regenra may help for long term, but dealing with roga's fast attack speed and walking speed, regen is not really ideal.

Sounds easy, so wuts another 2 slots left? Either supporter(for first aid and heal) or breakers(this is obvious), I know that some people said that breaking make the def, atk, spd increase, and drop rate increase. Well might take longer to kill, but for the drop rate, deal with it(ahh, next time lets talk about eerie xtal )

And thats it! Remember this is a THEORY, dont' spam the comment with swears and other stuff like "you suks", I came to this forum yesterday T~T.

Well let me say some more stuff then. When you said tank needs one Aggro skill did you mean maybe provoke? If so provoke would need to be used a lot for maybe snipers because of the dmg they do. I never had any problems causing aggro with MPcharge. The aoe does a lot of damage and it can move surprisingly fast for a big guy. I haven't really farmed much of boss roga so it's hard for me to understand what you mean about the spin attacks. It's pretty easy to fight though without using any sort of potion. Moves such as Storm though are big Aggro attracters for me. Some strategy is to make it stun continueously or use a tank for aggro with a big dps party.

Also: there is still a small gap of 5 mins when I posted that comment.

That's all you will need in a party, support is not needed.

Not enough hp? Use vita2 potion and revitas.
Revitas III sells for 8-10k per stack. Ore of another world sells for 10k each, sell the ore and get one stack for easier life.

Too many tankers or slow kill means more time and also means more damage taken which means lesser items over a period of time and lesser probability in having a particular item that you want.

Who take the aggro? Players who use more MP And constantly do skill spamming.

How to dodge the dash? Don't use long combos, when roga starts to backstep it's a sign that it's gonna dash so move out of it.

 

Ahh five minutes, my bad.

I call it spin attack, but its actually an aoe skill for Roga, im a lvl 68 stormer, and storm is really bad for this battle, he keeps moving so a chance of him standing still is either flinch or tumble(recommended), or...

Bug: Roga will freeze if the tanker escape to home screen(press home button, or wifi connection)you have over 7 seconds until tanker logged out and Roga switch aggro.

Tanker may slow things down, but with teammates that dont use revita is the point, so tanker was born(kinda)

My tanker friend have 8k hp, and 1.6k mp, so aggro isnt really a big deal for him(he even got more than i do, i only have 1.5k)

Dodging dash attack is a pain for high attack mage, if roga dash to you while casting spells, its fatal. High attack mage will be known as pure int, fastest cast time wont be lower than 2 seconds(storm), 3 seconds(wall and arrow). Impact is 0 second cast, but dmg will lower if casting continuously. Time can be lower if using Libra(cspd+1k), but only 1 dmg, so how you call yourself high dmg mage?

I use this combo:
Sonic wave→impact(smite)→smash

Sonic wave and impact will tumble, and smash is useless, only 6 dmg XD. My mage spells are wasted T~T

 

Ive been farming roga for so many times. Better break it when hp is really low. It increase defense when it got break like on dg. Its always on players fault. Ive learned boss rogas skill pattern. But if other members died? Its the big problem. Coz other players dont analyze the boss. I dont underestimate them. But when they've learned everything it could be so very easy to farm and kill boss roga Its really not a pain in the ass tho

 

Hmm, ask your tanker friend to stand near a corner if it helps (with his back facing the corner/wall) that way the 'dash' attack goes to the wall or dead end. (reducing the chances of having the party members being inside the red area) If the tank is constantly getting the monster's attention, try to position yourself with the monster's back facing you or stand on either of it's side (that way you'll be less likely to be in his dashing attack) and also far enough so that it's other area attacks doesn't hit you.

Player is neat the boss, use math.random() to decide the attack(normal, spin, target+ poison), Ive seen roga do a 3 combo of spin attack

Off topic: anyone realize that roga has wings? Its so tiny and cute but himself is too fat to fly XDXD

 

Actually its mostly the 1h breaker thats takes the most aggro, and as a 1h, i don't really face much issues on Roga. probably need more practice, and also flinch Roga at certain points of time that you or members might think that it's gonna do it's dash skill.

if you don't use revitas then the only way i can say is to find a pure tank or tank with high aggro, and even so, you will need to dodge the dash too since that the skill hits in a single line of sight and the party's tanker might accidentally move towards you/other members.

 

im more mad at 2 xmas stars per run than i am at roga

 

4 brawlers with smash, quick draw, and a magician's ring. With enough luck, a a whole lot of smash spamming, roga won't be able to move, and will die after 10 hrs....or more XD.

 

So my party build was a 2h for tank so that the aggro even the sniper hits is always on me. My members are mage for support who can also skill storm for killing gob roga. And the other 2 was archers one use bow for breaks with snipe even though it isn't high but still can damage and one is a sniper ^^ Hope it will help. Ask guildies for the party coz players farming roga really sucks they always want to get on to the top attacker -.- Notice Blacksheep his comment will help too ^^

Interesting facts that the gob roga didnt survive even 5 seconds in the battle when im here, i use my combo and bam, impact kills them all in a shot, bonus is roga tumbled and i can run away, tanker handles everything later.

 

1. The boss isn't unfair. I'm glad they made a more difficult boss, but he is still pretty easy to beat with proper teamwork.

2. Don't break the boss until he is down to very low hp. I recommend waiting until at least 3/4 of his hp is gone before you even consider tapping to break him. It will only take longer to kill him (likely resulting in more deaths) if you break him early.

3. Revitas are your friends, as is vita plus as it gives you more hp, making you less squishy. If 60% of the people you asked said they dont use it, then it is no surprise why i see so many of them die so much when i find a random party.

4. Mp charge doesn't have a code which makes the boss single you out for attack. You likely had the highest dps so he was already following you, or whoever had aggro kited him over to you, took a pause, and triggered roga's attack pattern.

You mentioned not to take it serious, I'm not trying to make fun of you, just stating what you could be doing wrong, and how to do better.

Pay attention to when aggro switches and then find a safe time to charge. As a mage (assuming mp charge is lvl10), you charge much quicker than archers. Playing both classes myself, it's all about finding the right moment (if one presents itself) to charge your mp.

5. Most of his attacks are pretty simple. Long combos will get you killed if you dont have a lot of hp. If you use breaking skills (like impact for your class), you can interrupt his attacks and avoid getting hit (or at least a high chance as the tumble isnt 100%). Now if your whole team is able to do that everytime as one of you are about to get hit... Problem solved.

I found a pretty good party with random people today, and we didn't have any tanks. We just coordinated well and ended up killing him with an average of 40 seconds per run, normally not taking any major damage, let alone dying. I know some people here have gotten faster, but assuming your equipment is just "okay", as mine is, then you too can also get it done.

Tldr: Do not aggro it,and RUN!
Just stay back and use skills sparingly.If you get aggro then it's time to run.
Vita Plus I/II and Revita II/III are your friends.
Also,get rid of the Gob Rogas that follow Boss Roga to minimise damage.Those buggers do poison damage with thier red AoEs.
