Advice on Build

    Alright, I had to redo my brawler character and it took awhile to level it (didn't have total faith in it, and was still figuring stuff out as I went).
    Still not completely sure on stats and skills, need advice on that.


    Stats probably is going to look like max agi, rest crit/dex. Or X crit/dex, rest into crit/dex, I'm not sure yet.

    Skills, I'm thinking to run build as this.
    Shots
    5 Shot Mastery
    5 Long Range
    10 Quick Draw
    Total, 20 points
    Magic
    5 Magic: Arrows
    5 Magic: Javelin
    5 Magic: Lances
    7 Magic: Impact
    Total, 22 points
    Martial
    5 Smash

    5 Shell Break
    10 Heavy Smash
    5 Sonic Wave
    5 Earth Bind
    10 Triple Kick
    10 Aggravate
    10 Strong Chase Attack
    Total, 65 points
    Dagger
    10 Hidden Arm
    10 Intense Knife
    Total, 20 points
    Survival
    5 Safe Rest
    10 HP Boost
    Total, 15 points
    (Really unsure on this one)
    Battle
    10 Attack UP
    5 Whack
    10 Critical UP
    10 Intimidating Power
    Total, 35 points
    ^Should have 9 spare points.

    Not sure what dagger to use on this characters. Possible options are storm dagger (nice boost mix of different stats for this character), army knife (mp), lightweight dagger (was recommended to me, guess because of aspd boost), or bush knife (lose some aspd to increase atk).
    Don't need MP Boost, since I mostly use a combo that only takes up 1 mp, Quick Draw really patches it up quickly. Originally wanted to run guard skills, but I don't think 10 points for just 5% is worth it. Opinions on Mail Breaker? I'm not completely sure on that skill. Thanks for reading, open for any suggestions.

    What is your combo?

    What do you want to achieve with your brawler? DPS, disabler or tank?

    Smash>Shellbreak(save)>Impact(cons)>Triplekick(Smite)>Sonicwave(swift)

    400mp Combo
    Impact>Heavysmash(smite)>Shellbreak(save)>Triplekick(smite)>Sonicwave(cons)

    I run two combos.
    One for general usage, other is if the target got armor break from shell break/auto attack.

    General usage:
    Smash - Bash (Save) - Impact (Consecutive) - Triple Kick (Smite) - Shell Break (Consecutive) - Sonic Wave (Consecutive)
    10 CP, but you can drop the Shell Break part as it's optional. SB version and non-SB version both cost 1 mp; SB version is just an extra something and gives enough time for you to get double tumble from one combo (from Impact, then Sonic Wave). Also able to follow it up with my other combo, if SB inflicts armor break. Pretty similar to what RyeUshio listed, but just modified to my preferences.

    Armor Break combo:
    Impact - Heavy Smash (Smite) - Sonic Wave (Consecutive)
    CP 4, and it seems to be a really basic form of what RyeUshio said. Oh well, I guess it's helpful that it's short (in case I need to move out of the way maybe?)? Came up with these combos, and now looking what RyeUshio said, I'm feeling like, 'Oh. Well then, what I have now seems inefficient and crap'.

    And yes, my goal is to be the ultimate brawler. :p
    It was meant for DpS, but it just...I don't know. Not sure what to call it now. Definitely not tank though, other people may enjoy that for their brawler, I don't.

    you re already an elite, i dont wanna give comment to your combo hahahaha

    your heavy combo / armor break combo is decent.. typical smited heavy smash during armor break/guard break.
    i wud chg swave to smash (cons) and add Sbreak (cons) after that, so it might proc another guard break after heavy smash :)

    Now your 1 mp combo is the problem.
    the motion is too slow due to bash and sonic wave. you need to rework this combo tho. try to use fast motion skill in combo because we are brawler, shud be fast and agile XD.

    these are skills that suitable for save tag bec its fast/instant motion :
    - smoke dust (5)
    - para shot (3)
    - Sbreak (3)
    - War cry (3)
    - Impact (2)
    - flash blast (2)
    - poison dagger (2)

    some of them required to equip certain sub-weapon. so choose your sub weapon wisely.

    heheh ultimate brawler? all of us want that too XD
    if you want to build a DPS char. try to focus on your DPS skill, and try compose a combo around that skills and choose the fastest motion that suits your playstyle :)

    @BlackRex I'm just in a good mood earlier dude, and made a combo out the skills he laid out.

    @NobodyKnows You can do the 400mp combo I made on loop everytime shellbreak process an armor break, just like what Rex said. Plus you get another 90% smited triplekick, how about that eh? ^_^

    Interesting, I'll modify the armor break combo to speed it up. Not sure I ran Sonic Wave then, probably was because of range or something. Change Sonic Wave to Smash as you said. Will test Shell Break with consecutive when I have enough CP.

    Yes. Bash got a longer motion time, compare to most other martial skills. Only ran it because it was the only other +2 mp skill I had then that wasn't used. Most of the skills you listed are for bow/bg/arrow, so those skills probably not gonna be used. War Cry is an interesting one, might think about it. Flash Blast, no clue how it works. Poison Dagger is probably gonna be the one I'll use (assuming I won't be stubborn and just leave it as Bash).

    I remember what I originally wanted to mention in the first post, which is, how terrible of an idea is it to run God Speed on knuckles? It does provide agi, which knuckles depend on, but other than that, not sure if it's worth the 20 points (10 to get to God Speed, 10 to max).

    For stats, I am still unsure what to pick as secondary. Dex and crit both increases damage and accuracy (well, critical hits can't miss unless target evades it). Is the stability boost from dex noticeable or no?

    Really interested to test this combo once I have the CP. 150% Heavy Smash along with a 90% Triple Kick in one combo...

    wouldnt an addition as warcry/ quick aura be a good option? i recomended it to my friend and he gave good feedback

    try adding warcry lvl10 and quickaura lvl1 to it.. quick aura only costs 1sp and works great with lvl1.. u chosoe tho

    I just made a combo out of the invested/present skills. Yes, it would be a good option, and also put into consideration the pros and cons of a long combo, so utilizing warcry and quickaura would be situational. ^_^

    Quick aura and warcry are instant so it shouldnt affect gameplay too much.. But i do recomend it strongly . ^^

    I'll think about Quick Aura. Unfortunately, I couldn't find much info on it other than what it does. Wanna know how much health it takes, amount of aspd provided when used, duration, etc.
