agi>dex or agi>str if 100% brawler

hello im very new in brawler, i just wondering which better agi>dex or agi>str if 100% crit

 

I think dex because str doesnt add attack for knucks, it only adds cdmg, which may not help much. 1 cdmg per 5 str

 

167 on Secondary stat if you're not planning to add Vit.

Only 0.5 Atk per Dex on knuckles so 167 * 0.5 = 83(rounded down) Atk.

While Str gives 167 / 5 = 33(rounded down) Critical Damage.


Str would probably give you better damage. Though graze might be a problem on high dodge Bosses. Haven't tried a no Dex character so I don't know how often you would graze.

 

If i may be perfectly honest,

Agi Vit/Crit is a lot more beneficial than agi str or agi dex. To get more damage, brawlers should focus on getting more flat dmg or ATK gear and xtas rather than relying on DEX points for that. Putting your extra stats into vit and crit allow you to stack damage type gear as opposed to needing xtas such as ornlarf and need crit gear such as shaved ice hat. Dex and Str give too little for what they cost in strength points.

Take for example

Ninja Hat (Agi 30%) vs Shaved Ice Hat

With ninja hat and max agi, you would get
3% crit damage (3% x 1.5 = 4.5) = ~20 str stats
Damg from ninja hat would be about 77 which is approx 154 stats to dex to get equivalent dmg
(Lets disregard the cr and lrd)

With shaved Ice Hat
You would get 2% crit dmg (3 flat CD) = about 15 str points
Crit rate from Shaved ice hat => 68 stat points



Now lets break it down how many stat points you would need to use to get equal statting with either item

1. With Ninja Hat, you would need to use 68 stat points to get the same amount of crit as SIH
2. With Shaved Ice Hat, you would need to use 154 stats to dex and 5 stats to strength to get the same amount of dmg as NH


68 stat points to crit or 154 stat points to dex and 5 to str? easy answer.




Now lets check out an armor situation. At level 160, each stat of vit will give about 53 HP

Lets say you go with standard full crit armor and are checking for XTAs.

You have two options ->
1. FC and Xta with Ornlarf (3k hp)
2. FC and Xta with Guignol (5% Dmg)

3k Hp is worth about 60 stat points of Vit
Assuming brawler has about 1200 Base dmg using a +b Lil empress. a 5% xta will net you about 60 Dmg

Using extra Stats You can get the HP output of ornlarf for 60 vit
Using extra Stats you can get the Dmg output of Guignol for about 120 dex (obviously base damage will help with multipliers but its so small and almost negligible)

So we compare FC + ornlarf + 120 dex points
or FC with guignol + 60 vit points




Now all of this should be completely ignored if you're going for the complete possibly highest Damage knuck.

Just stack dex and atk%, crit and CD

 

255vit>167agi with drills (100% crit)

 

ATK
AGI 1 = 2
DEX1 = 0.5
BASE ATK = Lv＋AGI×2＋DEX×0.5＋Weapon ATK

MATK
INT 1 = 4
DEX 1 =1
BASE MATK = Lv＋INT×4＋DEX＋Weapon ATK×0.5

Stability
DEX 1 = 0.025
Weapon Stability ＋DEX×0.025

ASPD
STR 1 = 0.1
AGI 1 =4.6
Normal ：100＋Lv＋AGI×4.6＋STR×0.1
Light ：Normal x 1.5
Heavy ：Normal x 0.5

Base on above formula, we know that
- STR increase minor ASPD and Critical Damage
- DEX increase minor ATK and Minor Stability

For Damage Build, I would suggest go for STR-100, AGI-255, DEX-40, CRI-18, VIT-10
in this build you will have +20% CDamage, +1% Stability, +20 Damage, +40 HIT, +5 Critical and about 600 HP
If you worry about Graze, you can use the +50 HIT consumable item (just anoyying when you want to collect the material because less people craft this ), Gespent II and Bexiz.

For your information, my build is stable build and stat like below,
AGI+255, VIT+40, DEX+44, CR+85
The reason I invest so much point in CR is to reduce the used of Critical Gear, so I can flexible change my gear without restricted by certain gear or xtal.

 

Knucks dont need dmg unless girls just wanna fun

 

Tank is just another play style of using Knucks, and DPS knucks not a FUN build.

 

i prefer using dex than str.. dex gives accuracy and stability
lessening graze is good when it comes to high level boss and targeting 100% stability is best

my current build has the following stat
max agi
50crt
15 str
rest dex
id rather have stable dmg than rng based dmg
cdmg isnt a problem since we can get cdmg gears

not really knux is fun.. knux aint for tanking alone

 

Agi>Crt>Vit (...imo).
Graze? It's only a problem for someone who wants to fast kill everything.

also assuming you manage to get high crit and decent HP by only using stats, you can smash every slot on all your equipments with +atk% xtal(...armor is still better with ifrid & ornlaf).
Your sub_weapon and/or additional gear also become more flexible as someone mentioned above.
Since Knuck gained the best atk source from AGI,weapon refine & crysta.



But if you still want to pick between Str or Dex, go DEX then.
I had seen someone manage to get 2k ATK with main knuckle, it's bae! o.o)
