Allow md users to equip sub weapon

    I am experimenting with and md mage, and ive always thought how md mages are shortchanged compared to other dps builds when it comes to dpsing and overall effectiveness when it comes to bossing.

    We have longer mp charge time, our bonuses are lackluster compared to staff but all hail impact. I have no problems with all other skills though.

    I wish we can be buffed, so we can utilize sub weapons but without fully enjoying its benefits. I suggest allowing md main to equip arrows and daggers but penalize them by having physical skills nerfed when equipping md by 25% since we get plus 2 per int already.

    If we max agi, we get plus two per agi, and brawler level dodge. The only way to prevent this is to nerf physical skills when used by md main.

    At least it allows md users to shine abit outside faeming, making them versatile magic users who can incorporate physical skills too.

    why would you want to prevent this? you just complained that MDs are not good enough and need more power :p
    that is the players' fault, not the MD.
    that is what they are.
    they only get a weapon bonus for magic skills, but their weapon stats and character stat growth is better than knuckles, which are supposed to be the allrounder weapons.
    MDs are like 2h magical knuckles ;)
    it's just that most people can't understand it, so they use "easier" weapons instead...

    While we are at it, why not a substance addiction parameter. So people who rely on potions, need to use more to keep the same effect going...and they can't use the consignment board, because they're junkies and will get arrested in town...and have to stay in the plains and Rugio Ruins where they belong, or the sewers.

    Also, I agree. MD / Magic users should have another skill tree altogether. At the moment, there are 4 main physical skill (Blade, bow, halberd, SW), and a single magic class. Even though the trees have their splits and can be mixed up...

    Magic should be split into different classes. Close range / long range / AOE / Single target / Status / elemental effects / ...there is obviously potential.

    They can be divided into elemental strengths by class...

    Obviously, imagination limiting...there is a lot of potential more so than any game out there. If only FF14 had a better combat and class system.

    Anyway, point taken. Hopefully, after they are done fucking over the blade class (Rampage) they will help out and balance all the MD / sub weapon users.

    I would like to see them...add a magic range effect for MD (sub) + 1h users, that provides that traveling blade / sonic blast effect we see Twilight dragon / Marchitar (sp). As a condition for power wave (weaker line aoe / multiple hits on contact).

    Keep dreaming though.

    Maintenance notes-
    - We've buffed the text of blade skills. It will now be displaced in 12 font italic, so you can read your skill descriptions better.
    - Blade users will be able to throw orbs in combat for added damage
    - New skill rampage will now look cooler
    - 1h sword users will be given the option of using other skill trees, because we have yet to decide on their role in combat? Orb Wielder?
