Could someone give an explanation on how to create apps?

 

If you mean "Appearance", the idea is:
You need to combine 2 equipments with "Tradable Stats" and "The Choosen Appearance" its called Synthesizing Equipment in Toram.

 

But what are the mechanics? For instance, if I want an oracle robe that looks like a black swimsuit, how would I do that?

 

Synthesise the swimsuit and Oracle robe together. Lock Black dye, swimsuit appearance and Oracle robe stats, use a three lock synthesist or hire one. Or you can go to the synthesist NPC and do that, but I suggest not cos it will be pretty expensive, I suggest you hire one, there are a few trusted 3 lock synthesists here

Does choosing three dyes count as one lock or three? Like can you lock the appearance, stats, and three dyes?

 

Three dyes is three. As long as you press an arrow to the side, you used up one lock

 

3locks means you can only choose 3. Locking 3dyes is already 3lock. So if you're planning to keep stats and appearance, you'll be needing a 5-lock service.

Yes. But currently, we can still make it but we must sacrifice some dyes/apps for it to work. ^^,
