Ardyn's Storm Shooter Build

Now that we're able to max out one stat, we can now focus on adding stat points to a 2nd stat which will maximize our mage's performance.
Most mages that I know went Int&dex or Int&vit. But for this build, I'll be going Int&Str. I'll also be using arrows as a sub since it doesn't lower my matk.

Stats: Max Int first = then Str
Why Int first? Int = +4 matk and +1 atk per int. This build is still a mage that's why I'm more concerned about matk.
Why Str? Str = +3 atk ( possibly adding crt dmg too ) per str. This is for snipe which will improve my dps. Also imo, +3 atk is better than +1 matk from dex.
Almost every mage who use storm knows that we can't have 2 storms active at the same time. So most of them would mp charge, auto attack, use support skills etc. until storm ends. So the idea here is to snipe while storm is active.

Combos
Magic Impact > Magic Storm ( Smite ) > Holy Fist ( Consecutive ) = This is your main damage dealing combo

Moeba Shot / Magic Arrows > Magic Impact / Sneak Attack ( Save ) > Snipe ( smite ) > Holy fist ( Consecutive ) = After casting storm, use this combo to snipe. The dmg atm is not high so I'll be waiting for more stat points. 1 mp combo

Moeba Shot > Sneak Attack ( Save ) > Snipe ( Smite ) > Magic Impact ( Consecutive ) = Reduces the next combo mp cost by half. 1 mp combo

Facts:
Sneak attack works on Storm. You won't gain any aggro even if storm hits multiple enemies.
Str adds 1% C. Damage per 5 points ( Thanks Precaria ^^ )
gonna add more someday.

Thread and Character are still under construction so not much info yet. To be updated. Open to suggestions.

 

Some points:
- Having Sneak Attack on Impact's place will make the combo cost more than 100 mp.
- STR does add C.DMG (+1% per each 5 pts, confirmed).
- To increase Snipe's damage max Long Range passive.
- Power Wave Lv10 will force you to walk closer so you can cast your combo, Storm can be casted from a max distance of 8m and Power Wave Lv2 will let you attack from 8m, add more SP there and you'd need to approach manually to cast your main combo (i.e. move from 9m to 8m so Storm activates).

Nu XD Sneak attack is 4 mp with staff so it's still a 1mp combo

When you finish casting mp charge your storm will end or 1 more hit to end so you can cast another storm right away cuz dun see anyone auto attacking as a mage... i just do this if i need like 1-2 hit to get 4 bars to cast another storm but rarely

It works with for all skills in the Shot Tree, regardless of main weapon and cast distance. So, yes.

 

Do you deal damage ( other than storm damage ) while casting Mp charge?

 

Magic sniper, arrow fu would be knux and arrow, no knux skills so no fu lol

 

Oh nvm just saw ur build needed a lot of mp ... i am full dps so i only have around 5-6 bars that's why i need to charge everytime + when i finish my combo the storm ends so i can cast another one right away. So i guess someone with low mana pool can't use this build

 

Nice build this this almost like the arcmage, but for end game scenario. One thing I think this by the time we have have decent str stat in secondary Level 4 skills will drop and there maybe a complete overhaul of DPS skills setups.
Anyway If I may add input , is make two combos for this:
Combo 1: impact-storm(consec or smite)-moeba, smash or holy fist(consec).
Combo 2: moeba-impact(save)-snipe(smite)-smash or whatever(cons).
Uhm could prob work, cos sneak has long animation- 1.something secs
