Beginner DW... need some help

So I just found out about this game and I really want to try it out. So as a habit, I researched about how to play it, classes etc. and I found out that this game has a dual wield class.

I just started yesterday and I'm now wondering how I would distribute my stats. I watched some videos in youtube but I don't know what build will suit my playstyle.

I am basically looking for a build that can deal decent damage at early game and also have decent survivability. Can somebody recommend what build, equips, skills etc. I should go for?

 

Full STR>AGI and full AGI>STR are the two most common DW stat builds. STR>AGI is the best for dps, but I would recommend full AGI>STR because the extra ASPD will make your attack animations quicker and allow you to avoid attacks more easily (every 180 ASPD past 1100 increases your motion speed by 1%; this number caps at 50%, which woulf be 11000 ASPD). AGI also gives you extra dodge, which isn't too useful, but is still a decent bonus. You could also consider putting around 30-50 points in VIT for extra HP (most of the time I make my VIT = my (AGI + STR) / 10.

Most of the skills on the DW tree are useful, but the only one I don't like personally is charging slash; it's just not good anymore in my opinion. Astute is also a great skill to get for its crit rate boost so you don't have to over-equip yourself, and quick aura is good for giving you extra ASPD. Feel free to get other skills like MP charge and Impact, though thise aren't as necessary for DWs. When you get to level 150, berserk can be great for extra crit rate, ASPD, and auto attack damage, and buster blade can be good for survivability.

For equips, just equip what any other DW would equip, like full crit gears, etcetera.
