brawler tank..

So I'm a brawler tank.... I went heavy armor... and pure vit and some metal atm I use brawler skills and assault attack... jw is piller golem shield best? If not what is a better one bc I've been farming him for over 2 weeks no shield... but I have crafted shield. I got the xtal off pg before the shield so asking is that best shield? And if u guys have any other idea for gear I would love it... BTW I'm very happy with my build love the tank way and don't like to dps I have drills... mask that adds 60% life and I have crafted plate armor with socket turtle xtal in it now till I can get 10% hp 10% def and 10% hp regeneration one... and marble shield crafted... and ring with 1000 mana.. slotted hoping to put stone meranery in it. So if u guys have any advise on gear I woudnt love u ty in advance..

Maybe you can try to refine all your equipment as high as possible to make it more effective~

Are you using shield bash to break all? Refining nowadays if effing hard. ^_^

 

Shield enthusiast here,
There are many shields out there but the best ones for tanking are:-

Albero shield(npc) :-hp+300 vit3% (good for getting more hp to tank)
Relief shield(npc) :-mp+100 (good if u want more mp)
Marble shield(drop) :-aggro+12% ampr+3 (drop is better than npc coz higher aggro)
Black shield of delusion(drop) :-neutral resistance+25% (only good for neutral element bosses like roga)

For other gears i would need more information about your skill and stat build to be able to give proper guidance.

 

I was doing this with all my gear but my shield just bc i want drop version of PG

I use drills... with excavation Golem xtal... plate armor crafted...with turtle xtal until I can get xtal with 10%hp 10%def and 10% hp regeneration... forgot the name big Bird mini boss drops... then I have mask with 60%to hp... no socket sadly trying to find... then a ring I craft with 1000 mp also crafted with slot so I can put a stone mercenary xtal inside that... I have crafted version of marble shield want PG drop bc it's better... my stats are 215 vit and like 18 in metal...I'm 88 and sitting at about... 15k life. My skills are
Smash 10
Sonic 10
Bash 5
Shell break 10
Heavy smash 1
Assult attack 1
Provoke 10
Heavy armor 10
Quickdraw 10.... 5 points to the other 2 arrow skills to get it
Mini heal 5 and skill after mini heal 5
Sanctuary 10
5 shield mastery
4 shield bash... will max this and go for Guardian...

I see... can ur gear ever break from upgrading or only go back like from +6 to +5 like lose an upgrade basically

 

I don't think they'll break unless you use hammer...
To be safe, just use anti degradation when you're refining, so that even it failed, it won't back to lower counts~~~

 

only if you use hammers, there is a chance for the Equipment to be lost

 

Ok so why use a hammer if it will break? Why not always use a anti thing?

 

Hammer is only good if it can cancel out the current break status, but if not then don't use hammer. Just read the decription well and you'll learn how to use it. ^_^

 

I wouldnt suggest getting quick draw but eh. Personal choice i guess
Try to refine all of them armor,add and shield to +E or more
Either marble shield or albero shield tho i prefer marble shield myself

Armor u can go with vit7% hp7% aggro10% or presist7% mresist7% aggro10% like mine
Or if u dont care about custom stats then can go for brigandine slot drop
Turtle xta i prefer myself for my build because it gives my guard rate and presist
But if u want more hp can go with arcoiris

I wouldnt recommend getting nure mask its nega -ailment resistance% will cancel your mtl stat also motion speed- can be problem too when slower combos
Other good add gears are hero scarf(hp,vit,aggro) brigan helm(mresist,presist,aggro) <-- i suggest these two more tho there are others like
White silver necklace(mresist,mp) for magic using bosses
Gladiator helmet(presist,guard power) for phys using bosses
Sweets basket(mp,aggro) if u need more mp
For xta my build i prefer grylle over anything because i am guard maniac tho if u dont wanna buy expensive u can do plain minotaur xta(hp) bb gob xta is good too if u want more aggro

For ring there are many choices go for any one that u prefer
Knights talis(mp, aggro)
Mistletoe talis(presist,mresist,hp) <--- can get 2s easily coz many people farm pova
Magician ring(mp)
Ring of greed(mp,ampr)
Aromatic bangle(aggro)
For xta obvious best is stone merc or u can do with a mob xta

 

Ty for info I try to farm boss for that armor with 20% physical and magical res got armor but no slot more farming I guess... I use marble shield... it's so hard to upgrade any tips on how to do this well? And I use ring with 1000 mana and it's socket... I have a turtle xtal can remove off my armor for that new slotted one u spoke of... how u get gear... wowith 7% vit and hp.... and argo? Player crafted? Hero scarf drops off that raccon mini boss right? I know mask.... has 30% - res... but it adds like 5k hp still not worth it? Ty in advance for more info u have been most helpful

 

To get shield from drop u have to remember to join a party that does full break coz the head part increases drop for shield. For refining u will need a max tech char coz shields are untradeable u cant buy refine service for it. Tell me if u have a max tech char if yes i will tell u the procedure.

Yes hp7% vit7% armor are player crafted so you will have to buy them or get help from a bs that you know they are a bit expensive coz not 100% success during statting. Brigandine only good if theres no dark or light ele bosses, but seeing so many dark ele bosses recently e.e... Remember arcoiris 10%hp will only give around 1.3k hp but costs like 100times more than tortuga thats why i prefer my tortuga more tbh

Hero scarf from violacoon yep about nure mask if u dont mind getting status ailment u can go for it though u will have to get guardian lvl10 immediately coz aggro generation is pretty tough without it. Also aggro generation is highly dependent on a stable net but thats another topic for another day.

Both rings and add gears try to collect more of them and try different sorts of combinations for the best possible set, coz in the end trying stuff out yourself is way more important.

Sub= marble/alberto shield (Refine to +E or higher)
Armour= Plate Armour (arcoris/tortugia/ king potum xtal) (Refine to +E or higher)
Additional gear= Hero scarf/Nuremask (grylle) (Refine to E or higher)
Talisman= Magician Ring (stone merc)

 

OK thank u I'll have another look at them refine will be hard and long road... I have read horror storys about it lol
