brawler tips

    hi guys. I just wanna ask for help and tips, I am currently building a brawler with dagger sub. any tips and gear recommendations for a high dmg out put. thanks in advanced ^^

    Assuming from all the STR equipment, you're going toward a STR build right? I'm going to assume so.

    Just so you know. Don't miss, is actually a really good suggestion for your build. Since you're going with STR as opposed to CRT or DEX as your second stat choice.
    Laying it out there plainly. If you miss attacks, you won't do damage, if you don't land critical hits, you don't get the benefits of STR's cdmg, and if you have no hit, you have a higher chance of grazing and gambling with stability. Fortunately graze is a universal problem and is balanced out with your cdmg, so just focus on hitting crits to get the full benefit of all that extra cdmg.

    Shortening it all up. Get crit and don't miss.

    As for how you should get yourself up to snuff in the DPS department it depends on how you want to apply your damage. I think you'll want to prioritize your cdmg for now though.

    I recommend getting:

    CD7%CD14CC14 - Zaif Sadik (Tyrant or Pillar Golem)
    CD7%CD14CC14 - Holy Robes (Iconos or Ifrid)
    Storm Dagger, Chaos Knife, Demi Knife(no flinch), Chocolate Knife(no tumble), Magic Arrow (gives 100 hit) There are a lot of useful daggers for you tbh.
    Gothic Hat (Proto Leon)
    Muscle Talisman/Time Warp Watch/Speed Talisman/Steeplejack Talisman (Yeti, Bexiz, or Tapir)
    Get CRT UP.
    Get at least 36 CRT. If you don't want to use Bexiz/storm dagger for 100% crt rate.
    We don't focus on STR% or STR+, because as opposed to every other character in the game, we don't get atk from STR. Which makes CDMG gains a higher priority alongside getting as close to 100% CRT rate as possible to abuse those CDMG gains.

    Along with these get the Battle Skills and your Martial Passives as high as your willing to go. You get a lot out of raw attack increases, far more than most Brawlers would, due to your cdmg. These increases are almost as important as your CDMG gains. Just remember that all of the Battle Skills can be obtained later and aren't to be prioritized over skills that will help combo/survive when fighting.

    I'm sorry I don't have a whole skill build on the matter. As STR brawler is something I've only dabbled with a few times, and not at a high degree at that. But i'd guess it's built similarly to most Brawlers are right now. ;c

    I would recommend Shukuchi for anyone using melee. It' not nessacary, but damn is it good.

    Other skills you'll possibly want are War Cry, Impact, and Meikyo Shisui, Quick Aura, and Quick Draw. These will all help with comboing and provide favorable status improvements.

    For Star gems, things like Reflex, and other 1 point wonders to use as combo fodder are favorable.

    If you decide to make a skill build, show us it and we can comment on it from there.

    So going full atk and ignoring aspd?..i think u miss the point of being brawler.. ull gonna end up like a fu ruining proration.. or will depends on mercenary..

    as a brawler u should have high interruption rate... such as 100% flinch and tumble for maximum survivability..if the boss is pretty sensitive use filler skills such as throw knife/holyfist/assault/earthbind(better animation soon)

    dmg aint every thing for brawlers tbh..
    even a low dmg brawler with high aspd(4k onwards)with 1.2-1.3katk vs 1.1k aspd brawler with 1.5k atk high aspd brawler can snatch attacker rank over them....

    this is why brawlers are underrated af.. because people tend to ignore what brawler has an advantage... high aspd :)

    I don't wanna ignore aspd, I know its brawler's advantage, any tips on having a good amount of aspd with good atk stats.

    Throwing Knife lvl 10 for 0 MP. Good combo filler and ender. Anywhere you'd use Quick Aura, put this in if you can afford the proration.
    Poison Knife lvl 1 for filler. Since it only cost you 1 point, may as well get a 200 mp combo filler. Regular Brawlers usually have to go for Flast Blast star gems or live with Magic Javelin.
    Amazing Throw lvl 10.
    Galtling Knife lvl 6 ~ 10.

    You should probably leave Spike Dart at lvl 5 if you're not getting DEX.

    As for proration problems. Stick to short combos if you're using your dagger skills. Impact > Gatling Knife (Smite) > Holy Fist (cons)/throwing Knife(swift) is a nice way to safely pump in damage when you can't get in close. It's like having a back up snipe kinda. Just realize you won't have Impact > Heavy Smash (Smite) > holy fist(cons).

    Spike Dart makes for a very nice start to combos and hits very hard with DEX investments. Using it to replace smash/Sonic wave works fairly well if you want to save those skills for dedicated flinch/tumble or starts to other combos. May also want to try out Spike Dart/Reflex > Poison Dagger/Flash Blast (save) > Bash (swift) once the updates for Martial/150 skills takes place for a nice little preloaded stun.

    As long as you stay creative with combos and input some skills like Impact, War Cry, Reflex, Flash Blast, Meikyo, ect. You'll be fine on the proration side of things as long as your willing to clean it up. Your biggest problem will like be justifying the use of your dagger skills as combo fillers when you could just use any of the buff skills I just mentioned. Since they all fill the same MP roles if you have those skills and don't tag proration. You may also find trouble justifying the use of Dagger skills over your Brawler skills in some cases as well. If you're really gung ho on a dagger build though, those two problems will sort themselves out typically.

    tnx buddy, but may I know why dagger skills ruin proration and what can I do to avoid it without removing dagger skills.
