I had been experimenting a lotttt of different mage build. Well I want to have a perfect mage who can do ALL THINGS
and here it is!!!!!!
All things i meant is, Cella's cute sly witch able to TANK, HIGH DPS, Lock (Breaker(?)) and SUPPORT,
Freely Rob all the ranking

Spoiler: Combo Sample

Combo 1 :Guardian Activator INFINITE AGGRO - 1MP combo, 6 SP
Shield Bash -> Guardian (Safe) -> Magic Storm (Smith) -> Shield Canon( Swift)
you only need to use this combo once a minute if you want to steal TANK rank but you'll need to be ready for taking all attack and u might lose DPS due to tumble and flinch by boss to you. being a tank might reduce your DPS

Combo 2 : Save Break Combo 200MP 10 SP Combo
Kick/Holy Fist -> Magic Arrow (Smith) -> Shield Canon (Safe) -> Impact(Cons) -> Storm(Smith) -> Shield Bash(Cons)
This will be your MAIN DPS combo, you cn spam this combo anytime ^^ and no need to wait for MP charge also

Classic 4MP 150% storm Combo : Magic impact -> Magic storm (Smith) -> Shield Canon
It's Classic, if u need to increase DPS fast ^^

For equipment...
Weapon no need to explain, it's ELEMENTAL WEAPON depend on your boss or for neutral classic I711M7 ECB Xtal
Armor, Elemental armor or I7m7 Roga / Jade Raptor Xtal
Accesories : Cat Ears Hood Empress Xtal
Shield : Relief Shield BS for MP Boost, BK shield for Hp and guard Power, Marble Shield for Aggro, your choice
and Ring, Philosopher Ring (more DPS and CSPD) / Magic Talisman III (More MP) Scrader xtal
You can chose xtal you want, i'll not going detail on equipment

But why 1 mental?

 

Why? Because critical is useless for mage...?

I think.. So yeah ><)/

 

Well not that way,but I would suggest maxing int/going pure int until its capped before switching to a second stat.

 

It's 1 mental sir >< Not taking any distribution point ><)/

 

I've been planning on posting a build very similar to your's, really similar just to let you know, it's called the Warmage. I still need to finish the thread though. :$

 

Btw, MTL is good for VIT tanks (it increases Aliment Resistance), our build needs DEX as secondary stat for the slight matk and cspd power-up.

From my observation, you are trying to do too many things. Your focus is spread too thin. In a party, which is your primary role? Magic DPS, Support or Tank?
I'd suggest you narrow down to 2 roles maximum. 1 Main + 1 Secondary so that should another party member is taking point or does better than you in your primary role, you can switch to your secondary as backup. Or even supplement with your secondary role should your party need 1 more person to strengthen that part.

I'm not sure whether my build is similar to yours, but I call mine War Priestess. Main is Magic DPS (Impact - Storm) with Support (Buffs + Heals) as secondary.
In tough boss fights or when my party members are low-levels/weak, I start by buffing them before I start my attacks. I switch to Support role immediately in battle should the party need buffs and heals badly and leave the dps/attacks to others.

Warmage is between your's and Cella's, it carries heavy armor and shield, is a soloing oriented build. It can tank pretty well and uses gloria to boost defenses while maintaining a good dps. I shall post it tonight or tomorrow and I'll be making video next week.

No worries! We both built it genuinely. Same happened to me and Haroshi with the impact sniper build lol.

 

It focus most on dps and breaker... why i focus on everything? I used to be a soloist.... and I'm a guild leader and helper who almost always take my time helping people, so I always cover where the party's lacking at.. ><)/ so yeah...


I can solo empress and roga too ><)/

 

I also use heavy armor + shield. I'm still improving on soloing well with mages. Perhaps it has to do with how I play, not with the build. I'm also using Gloria and Protection to buff, Bless, Mini Heal and Recovery for heals.

Just suggestion...? I use 5 bless because I just need gloria.. healing is Revita's work for me ><)/ that's why im not using mini heal or recovery ><)/

PS : Gloria for additional tanking and support rank stealer <3

 

Then you might want to consider Protection and Aegis. Protection gives physical resistance buff while Aegis is for magic.
Since you are equipping a shield, both Protection and Aegis costs only 100mp each. Without shield, both goes for 300mp each.

Both lasts for a few minutes, so it's worth the SPs and mp if you decide to take them.
