Does boss gob sword still drops?

    i been farming boss goblin for 3days and not getting the sword.

    It drops; I don't see any reason why it wouldn't.

    It doesn't drop if you break the boss...in my experience that "breaks" the sword and instead it drops broken sword bits.......HOWEVER....I am farming the weapon dye it drops....I don't know if i should break it or not? pls halp
