No one wants to play :( so treat this as a bump

Dagger-? (Dagger skill tree, all stats)
Shield-? (Shield skill tree, all stats)
Knuckle-? (Full damage with martial skill tree(?), no stats(?)(maybe element?)
Magic Device-? (MP Charge rate, no stats(?)(maybe element?)
    Bare Knuckle-?

I'm not playing either because my experiences seems to differ from the more out spoken forum contributers. I'll try and confirm the element bit because it should be easy to confirm or dismiss. Any constructive feedback and I'll gladly edit accordingly.

    My friend use staff+sheild

He tank bosses with sheild skill (if i remember correctly with the 3rd sheild skill ,he can throw a sheild to stunt the boss from 14m far)

Some of my freinds use staff+dagger. Spike skill at lvl 10 ..throw 6 daggers.... sometime they hit around 2k for each dagger.

I font know much about the effect but i use sup-weapon with specific skills to farm bosses.

All sub-weapons except Magic Devices work with a Staff equipped. Well, MDs technically work, but, they have no effect since you have a staff equipped.

The stats and skills of Daggers, Shields, and Knuckles all work. Daggers increase ATK, Shields increase DEF, and Knuckles decrease MATK but allow the use of Brawler skills.

If you have no Dagger, Shield, or Brawler skills, I recommend using Power Knife (STR +2, Weapon ATK +4) for the increase of Weapon ATK. Weapon ATK for a staff increases MATK, so it's worth something.

Knuckle stats don't works. Dagger can enhance critical rate, atk speed and Dodge rate or even atk depending on which Dagger ur using.
    Shield is pretty straightforward.
Magic device and knuckle both have ridiculous stats but they are considered as main weapons. So their stats don't apply onto your character when u equip as sub. What they allow u to do is:
If ur a swordsman and equipped magic device, u can cast magic offensive skills.
If ur a mage/swordsman with knuckle. It allows u to deals more damage. Breaking rate? No ideas. From my tests roughly 1month ago. It doesn't have a significant breaking chance difference. What about not equipping it? U can still use knuckle skills. Lol. Kung-fu monk it seems.

when u use magic devices as sub weapon it increases aoe size of magic skills and speeds up mp charge. it decreases atk at a certain rate. it wont have any effects with a staff as main as said above^

knuckles as sub increases break rate of brawler skills in my experience on an experimental character. i tried the brawler skills on a sword user and it hardly inflicted and break stats until i put knuckles as sub.

Dagger can also increase int a little. I use the dagger in beginning you get when you first reach sofya from that guy.

If you want to go for attack use the Power Dagger and if you want to push your cspd a little more use Magic Dagger

As my own experience I have noticed this :

Daggers: just add their status as the cspeed daggers they add cspeed. The int+1 dagger adds mdamage. Better than power knife. And lets you use dagger skills.

Shields: adds defence adds their status and blocking rate guard and slightly decreases your movement speed. And shield skills.

Arrows: let's you use archer skills as arrow rain. Not sure if any other bonus.

Knuckles: it increases your martial skills but decreases m atak and boost your chanses to flinch enemy's with martial skills.

M.devices: are for swordmans. Bowguns and knuckle users it boost cast time with magic skills but also decreases ATP. For staffs as secondary is useless or I really have not noticed any change it doesn't add their status.

I remember getting one at the begin of the game. Sadly I disposed it because I thought it was rather useless .-.

the first quest reward you get in the tutorial rewards a Throwing Knive with INT+1.
but it's attack is very low, so i switched to more powerful daggers to increase the damage dealt by Hidden Arm.

shields and daggers (arrows are also daggers) apply all their stats, because they are sub-wepons.
MDs and knuckles can be equipped as sub-weapon, but you won't get their stats. they are only there to increase the power of brawler and magic skills for classes that use different weapons. the guard in the library gives a hint about this.

dagger skills are based on ATK, so the passive dagger skills are more useful to mages than the throwing skills.
Magic Lances has the same effect as Gatling Knive, but is a magic attack.
when you max Hidden Arm and Intense Knive, it will always actiavte on each attack and add the dagger's ATK+25% as guaranteed damage.
even if your attack is blocked, or the damage is decreased, the extra damage is constant.
with a 19 ATK Power Knive equipped, it ranges from 21 to 25.

I knew it! I was doubting if I'd ever discard a int+1 dagger before and I'm right! Thought I must have remembered wrongly.
