DPS/Breaker Dual wield build

Looking for a good DPS/Breaker DW build for lvl 135+ build I have a good build but not getting high DPS and not getting breaks on bosses as much as I once was any tips on a build would be helpful thanks again for your time

 

By "Breaks" do you mean Breaker rank or breaking the parts of a boss?

 

Both to be honest I want to break the parts of the boss and get the breaker rank reward I am not good at tanking on bosses

 

I'm asking because FOR SOME FREAKING REASON, IN THIS GAME HITTING MORE OFTEN IS BETTER TO GAIN BREAKER RANK THAN BREAKING A PART!
Anyway, to break parts as a DW, the only way to do it reliably is to use Hard Hit (100% chance to Flinch at max). A lot of bosses can react badly to Flinching, so be mindful of that. As to damage part, getting higher ATK is the way to do it.
To get Breaker rank, you need those 3 things:
1) Fast and short combos. Like I said, you need to hit a lot and fast. The "Gemini" combo (credits to @メScye for the combo) is an example of such a combo.
2) Reliable mana regen. Good AMPR is essential for DW, as having a lot of it can easily recover you a bar of MP per auto regen. Quick Draw is a bonus if you can afford the SP for it.
3) Skill and patience. There's a trick in this game called "auto cancel". It allows you to move before the auto attack animation ends, but still deal some damage and regain MP. This requires a lot of practice to do it right.
Focus on these first, and with a good stat, equip and skill build, the DPS part will come slowly.

 

Hard Hit should be good enough to break armor, and you could probably also use Cross Parry for tumble (It has a low tumble rate though, so you might as well use Sonic Wave or Impact). The actual breaker rank should be fairly easy for you to get since DWs usually use AMPR more than most other classes, and you'll be using flinch&tumble.

 

From what i have been noticing, skills that deals status aliments gets breaker rank quickly. So if your spamming a set of skills in a combo at does some sort of Status Aliment you would definately get breaker rank. Explains why A *Bow* user spamming a combo that uses most of the archer skills all in one combo, quickly gets aggro and easily gets breaker rank. Cuase if your using a Bow almost all of the skills does some sort of Status Aliment.

 

Just spam spinning slash it gives THE MOST value towards breaker rank prolly coz its blind ailment can proc 4times in the same cast.

Yep thats what the combo i use do too. Astute(or Hard hit)> Spinning slash> Shadow Step. Its simple and gets breaker rank

 

Only reason why I am asking is because most bosses now at higher level won't break anymore that is why I am looking for a new build for a DW DPS Breaker build
