BUMPPPP FOR THE 30 YEARS OLD VIRGIN MAGE BUILD

 

YAAAMERRROUUUUU!!!!

 

Any tips what things to rush in a newly created mage? Trying the dps build here.

 

Stats : max out your int first then put vit for the rest.
Skills :
These are your priorities first
Mp recharge 10
Wall 5
MP Boosts 10
HP Boosts 10
Once you reach 70 get the ff
Storm 10
Impact 7~10
Equips : use elfame (npc crafted) and grind on shell masks using your skill wall , turn in @sofya the bitter nuts and nisel wood you got from it or you can sell them too.
Temporary arm you can use :
Magic swordsman garb (npc crafted)

After you manage to save 500k+
Buy cheap armors with [int+7% , matk+7%]
Philosopher's ring
Cat-ear hood

Tips : add high level friends or hire some high level mercenaries and spam minotaur on easy mode, use the mino skin you got from it and turn them in to anti deg and sell it 8k each
[3 mino skin = 1 anti deg]

 

any non-flinch/tumble combo for the likes of pillar golem, @SirEgg ?

 

Arrow - shell break save - assault cons - shield bash swift - storm smite - holy fist cons
3mp , arrow : 100% , storm : 130%

Or

Arrow - guardian save - assault swift - holy fist cons - shield bash swift - storm smite - shell break cons
1mp , arrow : 100% , storm : 150%

However, I have yet to get neither guardian nor assault for the combo. Originally following DPS-staffu Precaria path.

Edit: I guess I will have to follow your style now.

 

If you follow precaria's then I assume you got shield cannon right? Then replace assault with shield cannon or whatever suits your boat.

 

Edit: would this combo work with Nure and Jade as well? Having trouble with Nure atm.

You could use the standard impact>storm(smite) from far. Or just put on NPC armigma

 

Wont work because it still has stun on it , unless you learn assault attack and kick from hunter skill tree , without them your only option is using combo 2 , impact > storm (smite) from afar.

This angelus mage build is more good than the old one, i really like how this mage can took attacker, tanker and maybe breaker in boss battle
Hmm just one question, what combo you suggest for maximize breaker when you fight with fu user? Thank you

 

Fu users are really hard beat when it comes to breaker rank more especially if that fu is a spamming machine , but well the more they spam, the more the proration is in favour so its a win either way , but going back to your question..
If I wanna compete against breaker rank on an fu user then I'd probably use the 2 combos there that uses shellbreak as save , and if it's a short run then I'd definitely replace the filler skill's 'cons' tag with 'swift' tag , that way I can spam my combos faster too.

I just started playing for few days and I'm at level70 now, looking to move forward with this build.
Is there any suggestions for skills that I should max out first, and combos with less cp(other than the second one) so I could level it up gradually?

Ah and also - is force and magical shield viable and needed for the def, mdef and hp they offer?

Basic skill set of a shield mage is that should be added first :
Magic Skill Tree :
Impact 7-10
Storm 10
Mp charge 10
Survival :
HP Boost 10
Mp Boost 10
Shield Skill Tree :
Shield Bash 1
Priest Skill Tree :
Holy fist 1
Martial Skill Tree :
Smash 1

As for combos ,
You can start off with basic combos like
Impact > storm (smite) > mp charge (swift)
Then once you get a few filler skills you can now use :
Shield bash > javelin (save) > impact (cons) > storm (smite) > holy fist or smash (cons)
1mp 8cp

Arrow or Smash > javelin (save) > Shield Bash(cons) > impact (cons) > Storm (smite) > Holy fist (cons)
this is a 1mp 10 CP combo

If you wanna level up your cp , just make sure you finish all the combo

Sorry I got a few more questions as I progress-
1. I saw the new cerabes xtal, and wondering if cerabes+roga offers too much hp, or would it be better then roga+jade?
2. Are force and magical shield needed for the def, meet and hp they offer for survivability, or are they not worth adding with the limited sp?
3. Does a 2 slots staff help a lot or is it just marginal that you didn't put "highly recommended" like the armour? (Lol)

Hi,
1. Cerabres and + roga is highly welcomed as an xtal combination given though that you'll still have enough mp to reach at least 1k mp without jade.

2. I don't really welcome those 2 as for the ff. reasons :

• 20 SP for 1k HP seems like a bad offer
• As the lvl cap rises , the 1k HP becomes smaller and smaller as an overwhole increase on your hp given the fact that the skill is only fixated at 1k.
• There are othet better skills to invest those 20sp

3. As oppose to other classes , 2s staves are the least useful 2s out of all equipments for a mage due to mage being heavily relied on using different elemental staves. Not unless you can afford to 2s all your elemental staves , then it is better for you to settle for ns staves and a slotted one for your neutral , ofc slotted are welcomed too for elemental staves if you can afford it.
