The ones that you register for others to use? Nope doesnt work for them it will still count only the non buffed attack and hp in the stats screen.
For your own partner mercenary? Yes it should work I can already confirm giga speed pot working on them so other stat boosting potions should work as well.

 

I appreciate the knowledge that you shared and if I may ask I just wanted to know which class has the highest ouput dmg as an attacker merc?

 

I would say 2h if they have the necessary HIT rate.

I dabbled in that setup too (full-VIT BS char), but the hit rate (& therefore also dmg) was abysmal so went back to my full-DEX semi-tank (and locked it down with that fancy shield before the event finished! xD)

So... What is the condition for "Acompany" button to be shown when selecting other character on "switch character" menu? In my account, that button is shown, but in my wife's account, it didn't. Which means, I can use my other character as mercenary, while she can't use her other character as mercenary. Currently, both of us are in the same party and I'm the party leader. Is it because she wasn't the party leader?

Yes, you guessed the answer to your own question. Having your own character accompany you is basically the same thing as having a mercenary, it is just you using yourself.

I actually have a bit more stuff to add like about how tired a mercenary can get but having no time constraints and other updates/threads kept me busy and I almost forgot about this guide.
If more people are interested I will go to it and add all that asap.

 

ofc, we'd love to know the tiredness effect and sample merc build.
and for the potion, im still remember that using vitaplus gift (that gave you 100% buff hp) wont count at mer registration.
so previusly im thinking that buff potion wont worked formerc.
but after re-read this, i might take another test again

Either way if you use giga speed on your own char and then invite it as partner you will notice it will get the aspd boost so I think potions work for partner merc but not for hired merc

I got xtas with only mercenaries in party.
Maybe they said it cos mercenaries can't break parts.
