Really need some help figuring this out. I need a MD for my LUK mage. And only have around 100k spina. I'm around 90+ lvl and figured its about time i get a MD lol.
Even a good drop or way to craft one at B.S. armour as well... basicly everything to help a LUK mage.
I don't mind farming for materials but i just dont know what to farm :(
    Haaaalppp!

la lluvia is the best md i think rn, buy on cb its like 20k+ only and if u got a bs you can put stats on it to get higher damage

With 100k spina u can buy a very decent md in cb. I bought both my md and staff from cb for less than that. 30 K and 60k respectively. And my mage is only lvl 50 ¯\_(ツ)_/ ¯

Even if its just a Luk mage, you would still want it to have a decent md so you can dish out damage enough to one shot mobs.

When it comes to weapons (and armors), a player-crafted one will always be the best option. For md, that would be the latest player-craftable md with int 7% matk 7% int+12 and its elemental counterparts, but the neutral one is more than enough in my opinion. Since you are very very tight on budget, any of the latest (actually even if theyre not the latest) monster drops or npc crafts will do fine. Until now, I still use Jade Wings (Wind element) that dropped from Jade Raptor. Empress Soul was/is a popular choice when I started playing cos of its +15% damage to Water, Earth, Fire, Wind.

For armor, its best to get a player-crafted armor that has int 7% matk 7%, it will be your universal armor if you have a dps mage as well. I dont know what boss drop or npc crafted armor is good enough as a cheap alternative for a mage armor. Dont worry about an armors defense, it doesnt play much of an important role in this game.

For additional gear, NPC crafted Curled Horns, Cat-Ear Hood, Bandage Eyepatch, and Monocle are popular choices. I personally use Curled Horns cos Ive gotten used to it and im lazy to change gears. :D

For rings, you definitely have to go for Philosophers Stone. Thats the best ring for mage atm. It only costs around 10k-15k iirc, you can even get a slotted one at that price.

The xtas are the least of your worries cos the int stat that you have allocated on your mage (which should be at least 70) plus the additional stats from your equipment will be enough for it to perform its duties properly as a farmer mage. If you want to affix xtas on your gears, farmer mages that I know use either MP+150 or Int+3. I myself use an MP+150 xta on my md and drop rate +1% xtas (Grand Pojo event xta and Golden Potum event xta) on my additional gear and ring.

If you wonder where to farm craft items and materials, you can visit Coryn.Club for info. I hope i have been of assistance. Good luck with your luk mage and have fun farming!! :);)

PS. Dont forget to refine at least your md for more damage. Refine +E (+10) is okay but if you can get to +C (+12) that would be better. Refines +B (+13), +A (+14) and +S (+15) are just too expensive and not really vital to a farmer mage. :)

Don't bother with im7i12 statted weapons. Don't even bother with im7 armor. At 255 LUK, your int isn't good enough to make the int+7% part worthwhile.

    For 100k
    • Get a player crafted La Lluvia with attack ≈50 and have someone refine it +9. That level of refinement gives you a weapon with attack ≈100. And +9 refinement is much cheaper than +E.
Some quality options for nearly zero spina
    • md) Empress Soul, boss drop: base attack 36, gives +10% damage against Fire/Water/Wind/Earth. (I think the +15% mentioned upthread was an event item.) Note that this does *not* include damage against Dark. As you probably know well, a lot of popular mobs to farm, like nightmare roars, are Dark element.
    • md) Jade Wings, blacksmith, boss mats: base attack 47, gives +400 MP and a %cast speed boost (big for int-based mages, small for you). If you can farm Jade Raptor for the mats successfully, this is a solid option -- sometimes you'll find yourself forgoing more damaging weapons and equipping this just for the MP.
    • md) La Lluvia, blacksmith: base attack 47, gives +500 HP, water element. Don't discount the surviveability against harder mobs, like cursed clocks. You can farm the clear water (Voda Roar, Lutaros Cavern) and rainbow glass (Jewel Eye, Spring of Rebirth) off non-boss mobs. You can farm extra clear water to make a Magic Talisman II if you want.
    • Armor) Twilight Dress, boss drop or blacksmith. If you can farm Twilight Dragon, this is a LUK mage's dream: +500 MP and +500 cast speed.
    • Armor) Outerworld Armor, boss drop. Hey, +6 INT and +3% matk is pretty good, if you can farm Nurethoth.
    • Add) Inzanio Helm, boss drop: +500 HP and +300 MP and no penalties. If you can farm Inzanio, you'll find your LUK mage ends up using this sometimes.
    • Special) Misanga, quest reward: +500 MP with no penalty. Farm a stack of dented iron plate off the orc warriors in Saham Cave and turn 'em in to Lefina.
Now as for those classic mage favorites...
    • Add) Cat-Ear Hood, blacksmith: you're probably farming Cassy and Nightmare Roar in Ancient Empress Tomb anyway, so farm Boss Roga for a couple belts and you have everything you need. This is actually the only cheap item that will raise your casting speed by a large amount.
    • Add) Curled Horns, blacksmith: gives matk +4%, a good option if your other gear is providing enough MP. For mats farm Abyss Eye in Vyshed, Larmo in Fabizo, Death Zombeast in Ethos.
    • Add) Monocle or Bandage Eyepatch, blacksmith: arguably better than Curled Horns for INT mages but definitely not as good for you, so don't bother.
    • Special) Philosopher's Ring, mob drop: if you really want one, go to Land Under Cultivation and pummel owls until it drops. Then weep when you realize it's pretty much useless for LUK mages because your INT and CSPD are so low. But hey, at least you didn't pay money for it.
    Hope this helps.
