The boss is working correctly. You just don't know how to aggro switch so don't be salty about it.

 

Do you even need tank there? Or tank is just the safest if the aggro switching did not work out?

Yeah my mage can solo it. Don't even need tank there.... I wonder who started the switching at gespenst.. hmm oh it was me I forgot. Now everyone tries it but only few can perfect.

 

And not all class using shield is a tank! God D**n it (vulcan shield tbc)

 

Most players have no idea how aggro worked.. Its easy to steal aggro from a ohs tank, even easier to steal it from a knuck tank. I like giving "the tip" to unruly DPS.. Just the tip and only for a moment. If they (dps) continued playing like human excrement I usually kick them if I'm leading or leave (which is funny because usually lead reinvites me and kicks the player who cannot manage aggro).

Let us be real here, there are many people out there who try to learn / teach a job that they just aren't good at. There have been many of these topics about tanks that aren't doing tanks any justice. Making us actual tanks who study up on the bosses, practice on bosses (even if the boss is a limited event boss) and make sure they can figure out any necessities to survive the fight for both the tank and the other party members who are in the run with them, making us look bad.

Please, if you are looking to become a tank, go learn Tank 101 from an actual tank.

But there are also cases when tanks fails and the reason of unnecessary dps death. I got a HB now and ive experienced to be with many that made my grind harder.

Maybe some dps experienced this too. In Vennena, a tank who attacks boss immediately on the opening secs will trigger start boss to use skills. Although lazer is directed to tank, she can use the blue circle skills that will sometimes catch dps off guard. Before tank poke the bosss 2 pillars should be dead to prevent early unnecessary death of his/her dps.

Another example is this

Thats an example that 1 skill alone can make things uncomfortable for DPS. The tank used just protection that i assumed lvl10 because 12k from a blue circle is the highest i experienced and tbh 10-20 vit might not matter. If tanks dunno what will be best for dps, i suggest cast both or maybe itll be better to dont cast any at all.
Guess another ways how tank can manipulate ranks or troll someone. That's why tanks role is fun and the most rewarding role PERIOD.

Or maybe like me, who resets every time there is an extra orb campaign... well it wasnt too much, probably 3 resets till I get where I am now. And I need one or two more to get it just right. Bloody bite was a mistake

 

But I always try to get the basics right, stuffs like the concept of aggro generation, status, and gears. My problem is when the acquired skill isn't as worth as I expected, or maybe I could get a better setup with another skill. I gave up sanctuary even when most tank uses it. The point is you need to know what you're doing, and what you want

 

When I was a super noob tank (well, it was only like, 2 weeks ago) I shukuchi'd straight to venena at the start, got insta kicked, LOL. That was embarrassing. I didn't know why I got kicked until a kind player notified me about my mistake. Well, a tank kinda unneeded when I was playing as mage on venena(yes, not even using sneak atk, the interval from the laser attack was good enough to cast finale). Now that I made one, my respect for tanks grew
