Groot's STRIKE SABOTAGE (FULL FAST DPS) Halberd Build

Stab strike gets +100% dmg if the boss has some ailment like "venom"
Its not used as a dmg skill but just to increase strikes dmg
Poison dagger is better coz it has 100% inflict rate at lvl10.

 

yeah the poison dagger skill doesn't really do much damage but Strike Stab is a skill that needs an ailment inflicted in order to do more damage... ailment meaning stun, tumble, poison, slow, blind or anything that can impair an enemy's fighting capabalities... it just so happens that a level 10 Poison dagger inflicts poison 100% success rate or near that level and enables Strike Stab to hit much harder and for a longer period of time than other kinds of ailment infliction

 

Great build @Groot ! When I was in nuretoth party with you I managed to grab 2 or 3 times the attacker; the rest of the time you had it! I would like to have a friendly battle with you when I have my optimal xtals and gears

Im still wondering, why this build hasnt become a mainstream build. Is it because of the name?
I think cross river gorilla halberd build would be a better name

Btw 70 crit from personal stat wont be an overkill right? I hate seeing white number but still unsure on putting stat on crit :/

 

Coz mainly impact cant be used on all bosses and yeah lot of atk will be lost by that high crt stat

 

it actually won't
try comparing 70 agi and 70 crit stat
you'd probably get around 90-100 atk on 70 agi versus 20 crit rate on 70 crit stat
so if we chose 70 crit stat, we can replace the the weapon cd7%cDDD into atk7%cd7%cd11

we lose around 90-100 flat atk but we would get 7% atk and around 8+ more crit rate compared to the original setup (which is STR+AGI)
and 1% atk on halberd weapons is huge thing since atk% scales with weapon damage and dmg taken from base stats... on a refine C / B ---> 1% atk means 12-13 dmg so 7% atk is around equal to the amount that we lost --> 90-100 atk and we gain 8 more crit rate

We actually get back the damage and more just by investing into 70 crit stat ... i'd be comfortable even going up to 90 to 105 crit stat
cos by then we could replace the armor into str7%cd7%cdXX

we do however, lose the other benefits of AGI which are eva, aspd, dodge on the halberd main wep

 

theres always
flash stab>poison (save)>strike stab(smite)>throw knife (swift) and maybe similar combos
.....for bosses that are sensitive to crowd control
a bit bad on proration but manageable since not all bosses are that sensitive to tumbles anyway

impact is key to offset the proration just before a strike stab
high CRT stat is the way to go since most of halb dmg comes from weap damage, STR and CDMG stats
i would totally go the that other magic casting skill on halberd that makes stuff crit but i don't think its fast enough to let me dodge boss AOES nor dish out lots of damage in a short amount of time.... once you reach a certain CSPD you hit a wall that you can never go beyond faster than that and it limits your DPS growth
sure you can go full DMG setup + punish ray and the strike stabs are indeed stronger but the time you take to finish the combo is almost TWICE the time on non-casting combos which totally defeats its purpose for "dps"

 

Yeah if combos are faster they can surpass sword fu spammers
But still you can already get around 85crt by gears alone and on later updates that crt will increase so better add 35 stats to agi and get 50+atk than using on an extra 10crt

 

yes but the target is 10-110 crit rate so strike stab crit goes around 85 - 95% crit and anyways four options are replaceable if we get better options on crit gear:
the crit on the weapon, the armor, add gear and heavy knife's 5 crit ... all of which you can tweak what to keep and what to choose over

 

Just saying all the builds on which i added CRT didnt turn out very well :V
In this game CRT is only crt rate while agi is aspd dodge and atk, would have been better if CRT added cdmg too.

Now i'm wondering how i can increase Impact cast speed. Mine last like 2~4seconds Maybe i should replace it by smash or shell break at this point.
However the build is very satisfying even for a starter build like mine and i thank you for this.
PS : You might have guessed but I'm still low lvl.

 

once you get level 7 impact, its cast time vanishes and becomes insta-cast
i put in level 10 so that the tumble chance is maxed but you can just leave it at 7 if you want

 

Aaah thanks man i sound like the newbie i am with all my questions. You're pretty fast to answer anything i asked .
I admit i can't find the usual wiki and fan made tests to understand what's implied in skills and stats leveling. ( i mean the hidden cap)

 

question doe. At what level will you have all the total sp needed for this build? (Assuming you didn't use any prior vice versa for if you had use any prior)

 

i used ur sabotage combo and added shell break on tier 1 for desperate mp regen and it turns out well

 

im still waiting for ur second ver since i got dive imp xD

 

haha i already have a build for it
it just needs around 8 more sp to work as effective as the first build
and waiting for 120 cap for the new battle skills and maybe the 125 skills as well

 

this one is nice too it gets you more MP sustain and chance of ailment infliction
i got beat by an arrow halberd when i was trying this out so i ruled out Shell Break haha
