You get skill by discipline. You can choose only one the last 2 is by luck. You need to be really lucky to get magic lance.

im curious, does anyone know who has or how much the currently known highest fusion count in game?
was anyone crazy enough to catch 5000 pets and fuse them all together to get a high power one?
infinite power sounds OP, >.< which makes you think, what's the catch?

Only catch i know if done wrong, you get a high powered pet with low hp and of course low level. If done right, it takes years off your life grinding at low level monsters and of course the fusion cost that is unknown. I for one got a 7th fusion at a 5k+ spina cost. (That is if you don't include the dye that cost 3m spina or 3 orbs that i use to my favorite pet). Then again, 5k pet power can down kill any boss in a blink of an eye(of course provided that it wont miss, get hit first. At least in theory that is possible)

Asobimo stated that fusion digits may reach 9999 but there is no actual limit to how many pets you can stack on top of the other.(provided you can pay the fusion cost of course)

a max lvl2 pet is still somewhat salvageable right? i actually started doing this power farming thing a couple of weeks ago and wanted to know if anybody else is doing it.
also, quick question on damage patterns, what does an upward arrow mean?
for example a pet with 480% pattern and one with 350% pattern but with an up arrow, which one would be better?(for damage)

Research and study on those arrows is quite slim since each pet is unique on its attack pattern and preferred skill set.
Most of the time an arrow down signifies that the pet don't like such skill.
Example is glowray. It have a 500% up to 502% attack pattern but it shows that on magic skills those 2 options have an arrow down. Which was tested that they have a tendency to miss, lowered damage or restrained skill.
My manticore is a bit of an oddity too. It have 300% and 300% attack pattern but only one of the two have an arrow down.
    Screenshot_2017-12-18-01-44-05.png
As you see here action 3 favors magic while action 2 favors physical yet they have the same damage rate of 300% based on this observation it may have an arrow up on the skills that have status on them but it sucks since it is hard to test that theory. Also it comes to realization that manticores prefer tanking rather than being a DPS that i design it for(sooo much wasted time! Whaaaaay!? *snif*)
Yes, a level2 max pet is savagable. Heck! That is only the saving grace of pets. It will take a ton of fusions but doable. Now go forth and grind those sacrificial pets!

Hiya I just started messing around with pets buying different level ones and fusions. I kinda understand developing skills but as for the highest level the pet can reach I can't figure out I've fused a low lv pet with a high. A high lv with a inbetween I'm trying to fuse a pet with a 120lv.but how is it possible? Dose the pets level really matter? I have my favorite pet (once at lv 48) down to lv2. Would really appreciate some pointers my main class is mage so I've been focusing on mage skills and stat points but I just can't raise the main basic level
-,- I've fused so many times ...Heeelp please

Simple- more level, more room for growth...
Fused pet still get added power as they get experience. I was blown away when my pet manticore gained pet power after its 3rd fusion(pet dye did a big deal on my pet)

    The fusion level formula is:
((Pet 1 current level+ pet 2 current level)÷2)+1= fused pet max level

Your pet can be fused as many as you want since there is no limit to that. More level it have, the more stats it can have. More killing power and pet power.

Which one is better as 2nd inheritance skill for str dps pet ? Encourage or hard hit? I got lucky and both of them at lvl 5 from the start.

As a str dps pet it is favorable to have a level 10 corner skill as the sole skill to be carried over the generations(sorry, forgot the darn name since im focused on the other corner which is magic lance)
Unless you got that ONE SOLE KILLER SKILL anything high level is good.

On a side note, I finally managed to make 'Lurch' (Planet Head, with 395 int at max level of 82). Its damage is amazing~, around 130k-180k Magic Lances (lvl 7). This little buddy has taken my very weak statter char up to lvl 110 pretty easily, via bosses only.

My only gripe is that Planet Head has no range auto attack option, so sometimes it gets stuck trying to land a close-ranged auto, but the path is blocked by a red AOE, before it can cast Magic-Lance again. The delay of this Magic-Lance sometimes gets it killed before it can HP-Absorb all its missing health back.

Nevertheless, thanks again for this guide!

Glad to hear. But yah, without normal range attacks planet heads is having a hard time for that. My blue planet head named FirstDate (yah, this one got paired with my frosch LANCE and got the lvl 10 magic lance as an inheritance)is all over the target just to get autos i was starting to think of changing it to a more capable pet for my game play. Maybe its time i hunt stone pet since it got good pattern on the paper, plus i wanna know if it is phy or a mag type of pet. Other than that ill be switching to cassy(yey, better save up an orb to dye this baby to Caspy. Haru chan we miss u)

From earlier posts, it looks like kodama has a 400% magic option. Its Earth elem (compared to Dark for Cassy).

Stone got 169% to 469% damage, dinno if magic tho, im guessing that it is an earth elm pet(duh, then again i was proven wrong before)
A fast attacker and heavy hitter in one package. Only problem is my usual targets are earth elem boss and miniboss (burn hurts a lot that's why i keep well away from them)
