Having arrow paired with Halberd doesn't increase atk??

Just as the title says. I got an awesome new drop from the cuervo jail section, 122 atk arrow and I checked my stats before and after I equipped it. It did not affect my atk stat. According to the item description, only the additional stats are bow/xbow only, so what do???

 

You could use all shot skills with arrow as a sub weap like smoke dust, arm break, snipe, paralysis shot(for extra stability) and so on

 

Gives you 25% reduction to def and mdef and gives you access to shot skills. Also get arrow bonuses applied like crit or mp.

 

But, what you guys are saying is that the 122 atk is NOT going to stack with my 256 atk HB weapon? That's what I want to know

... but seriously, how would an arrow by itself allow usage of shot skills? Are halberdiers just throwing them or are they somehow launching them with their spears?

 

All hb offensive skills basically just swinging his spear(except pray), throwing arrow is a piece of cake.
With dragon in its name, i neither seen any dragon or tooth animation in dt skill.
